Professor Davis is a rare gem in the world of online teaching. Her approach makes the class feel way more personable than many other professors with her "assignment docs" that are charmingly created as if she were speaking directly to you. Do the reading and be thoughtful in what you write and you'll do great! Lots of reading but very low stress.

Dr. Davis is such a nice lady and really cares about you! Super easy to follow instructions which is rare for online classes. Be prepared to read A LOT though, if you like reading you'll really enjoy her class. There are due dates for discussion posts every week and quizzes about every other week, no biggie if you turn a post in a day late though!

Dr. Davis is great at motivating you to do the work despite having a heavy course load (particularly during the summer). She offers an extra credit opportunity, and makes the quizzes fairly easy as long as you read.

Wonderful professor. I took this class as a filler and enjoyed it. We read 5 books and watched 2 movies on Netflix. Discussion Boards, 2 Tests ,Final, and the Activity project make up your overall grade. She gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit. Read, participate in discussion boards and submit assignments on time and you should get an A.

Professor Davis is very nice and really wants her class to succeed. This class consisted of just discussion boards, an activism project, and a couple tests. She makes sure that she does not overload you with work and always gives more than enough time to complete work. She is also not a tough grader at all. As long as you try, you will get an A.

Took Dr. Davis' class over the summer online - he does an excellent job of laying out the requirements, weekly assignments, & all materials that you'll need! Super organized & wants her students to do well. We read 6 entire books & 2 partial. Discussions and quizzes aren't difficult if you read and participate. Couldn't ask for a better professor!

My minor is in GWST so this is my introductory class and I couldn't have had a better instructor. Dr. Davis is wonderful. You do have lots of reading and discussion posts but its all over interesting topics. Tests aren't too hard and you're well prepared with the handouts you are given--even with the final exam.

For the summer, you have to read every day, but the book choice was excellent. However, she assigns a 5 page mid term paper that you just don't have time to write while you are reading a book and taking book quizzes. Get rid of the paper and it is a good class. Discussion posts on books every week also.

Prof Davis was such a sweet teacher. She structured the online class to be as painless as possible. Weekly lectures and directions are very clear. NO PAPERS! BUT there are 8 books to read. 6 full, 2 partial. Quiz on every one. Quizzes are easy if you read and pay attention. 2 tests. Weekly discussion per book. Given ample time to read each book too

Professor Davis is amazing and super easy! I did great in her class and I didn't even read the novels she assigned. All you have to do is skim the books and make sure to pay attention to the overall themes. Also, she was super understanding when I had surgery in the middle of the semester. Take her for an easy A!

She is the best! One of my first online classes and I passed with flying colors. She is easy and respectable. A plus, she made the class super interesting! Quick to feedback and grading. A lot of books required but discussions are easily do-able. Gives great information and specific expectations. Weekly assignments, two tests. Def. take her!

A very lovely person. Kind of confusing and likely to go off topic. Lets some students dominate the class and talk endlessly about our assignments. She is very open to new ideas and wants to have your imput on how to improve the class. Stressful class that I was excited for at the beginning of the semester and was sadly disappointed.

Absolutely beautifully set up on D2L. You could not ask for a better, straight forward course online. The course work was super easy with weekly discussions. Awesome films to watch and books to read. Highly recommend as a free elective or even chosen as a minor!

She is (usually) nice. For best grade: write simple, stay inside the box, and don't joke in your write ups. Stick to sunshine, rainbows, and other well established, concrete, autistic-spectrum-friendly concepts. She might go into a prolonged vindictive rage if you write something she doesn't understand D:

The best! I kept putting off this class until my friend recommended her to me. I took this class online and I put about 30 minutes of work into it a week. Easy A and I hate reading. To be honest I really did not read. Discussion post are graded on response not length. Quizzes for the 7 or 8 books are easy. Very sweet and understanding.

Took this class online over the summer. Terrible mistake. We had to read 8 novels in eight weeks. WAY too much if you are responsible for other classes that also required a lot of reading. He expectations are unrealistic.
