After reading all these negative comments i feel OBLIGATED to write him one. I took Bowers in last year and i honestly thought he was so easy. All you need to do is read and alot of the questions on the test are basic things you should already know. If your a student who stays on top of everything then you should be fine because everything is easy!

I took Mr.Bowers class last winter semester, and it was the worst class of my life. His tests are ridiculously hard, and you have one every two weeks; about 60 questions. There are also difficult projects as well. The book is VERY important, if you don't read, you wont pass the tests. Make sure you take advantage of the extra credit.

awful professor, great human being. although he knows what he is talking about, he is not clear nor detailed about anything and expects you to get it right away. His lessons are almost like riddles and he barely explains his important assignments. Class is not lively or interested in learning, as he makes it dull and difficult to learn a thing!

By far the worst teacher I have ever had. His tests are really hard. You need atleast 3-4 hours of studying to get a B. Doesnt help students. Doesnt help students understand material. Take advantage of extra credit. Without it you wont be close to a C. He is never clear about his assignments. Never goes over the reviews in class. You will hate it.

He is awesome! Funny, makes it interesting and interacts with his students. Gives study guides, and vocab terms that make the test SO EASY! as long as you use them to study of course. the textbook is used more at home than in class and for personal study purposes. Hes great, i would recommend him to anybody!!

Knows what he is talking about his tests are just very hard. If you study the vocab and actually read you will pass! Take advantage of ALL extra credit and GO TO CLASS. Not a class to blow off in or not study but he does teach it well and knows what he is talking about. Great teacher.

He is a great teacher but he confuses me a lottt!! you have to read the book which is horrible, and you have to do some very long assignments and they are extremely annoying! And his tests are hard. if you don't want to go through all of this DONT TAKE HIM!! There is much easier teacherss!

His tests are close to 80% of your grade which is crazy!!!! They are not easy tests either(things he never even talked are on there)There is a test almost every week close to 60 quest Not only that but the projects and homeworks he gives are boring and long. Often times he is very unclear about the due dates. Would not want to ever take him again.

Dr. Bowers is a very wise teacher and knows a lot about Political Science. The class is not hard, if you read. If you read each chapter multiple times, you will do well on the tests. I read each chapter twice. Test are not easy, but like I said if you read, you'll do well. He gives you a lot of time to complete work.

Mr Bowers will tell you the book is boring,truthly if you like pol sci you will like the book,if you hate pol sci with no interest in the subject(like me) you will hate the book, either way take him! ISBN:978-0-495-79713-5 He is a good teacher. He uses the book, all the time. You must read! If you do not read, you truly, will have no clue what is on his tests. The tests are easy if you read the chapters. He has a good sense of humor and is always punctual. I enjoyed this class very much Dr. Bowers!

He knows a lot about the subject and has a sense of humor. He is highly unorganized and you never know when things are due. His tests are extremely difficult and you need to read the book multiple times. I like him as a person he was just to unorganized which made for a stressful class. Do not expect an easy A from him either.
