This course was fairly well organized. Eakins allows for plenty of attempts on most assignments, making it easy to receive an A. Multiple attempts: 12 chapter quizzes, 4 unit tests, online tool trainings. One easy group Powerpoint project. Must post to at least 15 discussion boards of which there are plenty. Easy grader. I would take Eakins again.

BEST PROF I HAVE EVER HAD. She is the only prof I've ever enjoyed a lecture from. If you show up she will make your day and her tests are not bad at all if you've been to class. She is very funny and just a cute lady. wish I could take more classes with her because I actually liked attending it.

literally take her, amazing prof n person all around. Class is easy and she is super nice and totally funny, makes lectures not boring. if you have to take this class definitely take her !!!!

She is a great teacher. Everybody loves her. She clearly explain what to do each lesson. She always be there to help you and answer every e-mail whatever a little thing. She inspired and encourage every students. We know that she love us and we love her.

Mrs. Eakins is by far the best teacher I've ever had. Not only is she an awesome teacher, she's such an inspirational human being. She is always eager to be there and truly cares about every single one of her students. The class isn't the most interesting to me, but she makes me excited to come to class.

She's a wonderful, enthusiastic professor. If MIS 2223 is a class you need to take, take it with her and you will not be disappointed. Attendance is mandatory, but I honestly looked forward to seeing her.

Great professor, wouldn't wanna take this class with anybody else. Her tests can be hard to study for, but there should be no issue getting a good grade at the end of the year. There's four projects you have to do but they don't take long and one of them is an easy group project. She is really funny too!

Ms Eakins was great! She stuck to her schedule for the online class, sent our reminders, and was very organized. She was quick to respond, grade, and offer help. Class is overall pretty easy and with her great personality, I wouldn't want to take it with anyone else!

Take MIS with Ms. Eakins! She is the best! You will hear her crazy stories that are related to the class, about "the hot guy," and about computers. I wouldn't want to take this class again with anyone else! :)

If it was any other instructor teaching this class I would have hated this class. The online quizzes you have to use the book for and thats the only thing. They are unlimited attempts and none of the questions are on the tests. Four projects (database one is HARD). Three tests (drops one) go to class and take good notes and you'll do fine.

Opens everything day 1 for online students so you can work ahead & gives unlimited attempts to take quizzes & exams-easy. 4 projects are a pain but you get 2 attempts so easy enough. Final kinda stupid-straight memorization of useless, mostly non-course related facts. If you want an easy A though, this is the class for you.

She is by far my favorite teacher at ECU. She will do anything she can to help you succeed. Theres 15 online quizzes that you have unlimited time. Three tests (drops the lowest score) and three online assignments. You can miss three days, and each day after that she takes 1 point off of your grade... Overally this class was my favorite.. take her!!

I took this course online for the first summer session. It waa pretty straight forward, and somewhat easy. The quizzes and tests are right from the textbook. The only thing I hated were the assignments.Some were a hassle and I hated them!!!!

Mrs. Eakins is so sweet and funny! She genuinely cares about her students and tries to make class fun. Attendance is mandatory and most of her test information comes from in-class notes, which she doesn't post on BlackBoard. Going to class boosts your grade a lot in the end though. Probably the best teacher I've had at ECU so far! TAKE HER!

I took this class online during the summer. Ms.Eakins seemed like a great lady through our Discussion Boards and all the emails we got. The online class requires quite a bit of work, but it's nothing hard at all. The tests and quizzes are open book, but timed and the final is NOT open book, but if you study the notes she gives you, you will do fine

I hate to be a debbie downer, but I didn't really enjoy this class. I took it online and yes the tests and quizes are open book which is helpful, but the final was ridiculously hard. The projects are demanding and a pain in the ass. Prof. seemed sweet enough, but don't let that fool you; she's pretty darn hard.
