Comment:

I had Prof. Moody for NUR 115 and PN 110. Her lectures depended heavily on the textbook and what she says, so its wise to either tape her or memorize( literally) the textbook. Her quizzes are straight forward but she does most of her lecturing via powerpoints, reviewing those will be helpful. She is very reliable outside of class however.

Prof. Moody is very laid back and easy-going. Watch your skills videos on Evolve (new for the concept based curriculum), do your quizzes and come to clinical ready to practice. She will have you act out different scenarios just about every day but you will learn so much from this and it will really make you more aware and keep you on your toes.

She is an amazing teacher. This is a fun class and you just need to participate to pass this class. Laura had an awesome attitude and wants everyone to laugh. She is really laid back. Easiest class ever. I learned a lot about the stigmas nurses and other people put on certain patients. I also learned how to be a better nurse.

Be prepared to ask clarifying questions. She will be very unclear about what she wants you to do. She will not be helpful at the clinical site at all. The orientation on the floor that is provided is less than sufficient.

I had Laura for AD 175 clinical. I honestly don't understand how some people are rating her above average. Maybe things have changed over time.She tells you she has high expectations of you but isn't clear about what those are exactly and she is not willing to help you during clinical at all. She will simply say "Not in my job description."

Moody is okay as a clinical instructor. She does try to give you as much opportunity as possible to learn new skills. However, she is very unclear as far as her expectations with paperwork. She also has a "cool" demeanor/attitude about her - sometimes she is very nice, other times, she makes you feel like she has something against you personally.

Very difficult. Her favorite saying "I can see your point, but I'm sticking to my answer." So forget challenging points on tests. Its her way or else. Has her favorites. Use a recorder talks fast and pronounces words different so ask for spelling. Clinically she vanishes, but staff at facility are helpful. Good Luck.

She just lectures (fast) and does not TEACH. Most of her test ?'s are from her lecture though, so don't miss a class. Clinical is fine. Her pronunciation of words is not so good so make sure to ask for her to spell any words you are confused about. Challenge any test questions u think are correct but marked incorrect. GOOD LUCK:)

Plan on teaching yourself!!! She is terribly unorganized and VERY, VERY,and I repeat VERY hared to follow in lecture! Laptops help w/ her lectures, if you don't have a laptop, get a recorder. GREAT clinical instructor. Again, plan on reading and learning everything on your own. Test Qs come from only God knows where.

Can be hard clinically if you're not on her good side.Seems most times she can't answer medical questions when asked. If you have her for lecture buy an NCLEX, you'll see similar questions on her tests.

worst teacher around. Reads straight from book. Plan on teaching yourself. Test questions make no sense..makes me wonder if she knows how to read at times. Very lazy, too easy on students. You pay for it in later classes. VEry hard to understand.
