Sammye is a wonderful instructor. She is tough, but is willing to help. She wants to see her students do well. She gives you the information, but you have to read and go a little further. Overall great teacher and I would take her again.

This teacher is very unprofessional with manners. She need to retire. Make sure you get copies of your paperwork. She is known for losing important papers. Good luck ! I got a A- in class, but this teacher is rude and like singling out people. She really does not care about students passing the class. She is placed in nursing to weed out students.

Sammye is hilarious, but after her first test, I was not laughing. To pass, you'll need to read the text assigned, do NCLEX style practice questions, and study with the mindset that you're a floor nurse. To review your tests, you'll need to meet with her right after class otherwise, you won't be able to get ahold of her via email/phone.

I had Sammye for 132 and 135. Her lectures were interesting she sure knew how to keep your attention, but they did get off subject a lot and were hard to follow sometimes. Her tests were difficult but if you do the reading you will be good and use an NCLEX book!! I will actually miss her.

I have had sammi for 132 and 135 and I have to agree that all these bad comments are comming from those looking for someone to blame for not doing well.Sammi always go's over what to know for the test's after she has finished the lecture material. Also lot of her questions come from the assigned reading. Do the reading and you will do well.

Sammye is a horrible professor. she will talk more about things that don't even matter instead of lecturing about what will be on the test. The entire class failed our 2nd test so she had to throw out test questions just to get 1/3 of the class passing. The way she test is tricky and very unfair because her test don't cover stuff from lecture/notes

Her test questions are off the wall. Her lectures are all over the place and difficult to follow. She's unorganized and notorious for being late to class. She frequently cancels appointments with students and it's nearly impossible to reschedule with her.

Nice lady and very personable..responding to the comment that she talks about what a piss poor group we are....I think that the entire class of 40 who failed the same test reflects on her piss poor teaching. She lacks talent in teaching and doesn't prepare you well for the next level med surge. I passed with a B, but felt unprepared for PN 141.

Sammye is an excellent instructor and she has an excellent knowledgement of OB. I personally believe that all those bad comments from her are comming from people who just felt the class and are trying to blame others for their faillings. In Nursing, you need to give 100% and study hard to pass your boards. Good luck to all of you.

DO NOT let Sammye's personality traits fool you. She DOES KNOW what is going on. Just do your prep, really know your patients, care plans, and meds. Just remember, her "chatting" with others is mostly about what a "piss poor group" you all are. Quit your crying & just work a little harder!

Regarding the person who said the people who post bad comments about her are just mad because they are failing, this is NOT true, I did not and was not failing and I still have negative things to say about her. She is EXTREMELY unorganized, her lectures are very sporadic, and she is hard to follow.

Sammye is a nice person out of class but she is the worse teacher. She is VERY unorganized. Her information on the powerpoints are pretty much useless and she doesnt post them until the last minute. You HAVE to read the chapters in order to pass and even then good luck, some test questions are unfair. Our whole class was very frustrated with her.

If being funny was everything, this lady would have it in the bag. Unfortunately that doesn't matter when you are disorganized and random when it comes to teaching. Read the objectives and memorize their answers. Don't loose hope after the first test-try and figure her out. You can do it!

Sammye is a very funny professor, so lecture was entertaining. She did not teach much OB content at all, & her tests Q's were off the wall, a few from NCLEX. The person that said those who complain were failing or had a grudge, not true. I got an A, liked Sammye a lot as a person, but I think as a teacher, she has lots of room for improvement.

She is never around to help with anything ur own ur own at hosp. I never got a single care plan back, so no feedback. She is unorganized, old school nursing, not up to date with correct procedures. She is very deffensive and will be out to get you if she finds out that you have a problem with her. you will learn nothing from her.
