To be honest, I understand the bad reviews of Prof. Enjolras. She is an acquired taste for sure. That being said, she is UTTERLY passionate about the French language, wants you to learn the most proper French, etc. This is frustrating and hard to some, but she is only so strict because she GENUINELY wants success for her students. ALWAYS use vous!!

Daily homeworks and quizzes add up, but the presentations are most crucial. She is really scary, but if you just overlook it it's fine. If you ask her a question that can be answered on moodle or the syllabus, she will not answer you. loves depreciating kids when they present. Might not shower or change ever.

Professor Enjolras cares tremendously for the students in her classes. This is much clearer in upper level courses whereas in 301 she might scare you from continuing with French. She is a truly a gem but you have to be patient as her teaching style is unlike that of typical American professors. Get frustrated but remember that it's worth it.

Absolutely brilliant woman. That being said, her class is rather challenging. Since French is her native language, sometimes it seems as if she can't empathize with English speakers learning the language. If you're willing to put the work in, you'll learn the language well.

She is not as bad as people say. I happen to adore her. She gives lots of work, but it is by no means difficult. Her tests are challenging, but again, not impossible. Easy final if you study. Lots of work, but she is brilliant. Although not everyone's cup of tea.

Enjolras really isn't as bad as everyone says. Yes, she gives a ridiculous amount of work...lots of it annoying work that involves going to the MRC but she is also very fair and lenient. Although it may be tough along the way, she really knows her stuff and you'll leave the class being much better at French and with a good grade.

I don't think there was ever a day where I left class knowing what my assignment was for the next class. She assigns a lot of work and you have to go see the sketchy movies in the French film series. Avoid Enjolras. Take Duseoir or someone else.

Horrible, the worst professor I have ever had at Holy Cross. Made me hate french because I was always confused about assignments and she was NO help in office hours. Her assignments were insane and took hours. Avoid her at all costs!!

A lot of work. You have to really love French to like this class otherwise you end up hating it. Lots of daily work and the long-term work can be very involved. She lets you re-write your compositions but otherwise her explanations can be very confusing. Not for the faint of French heart...
