Prof. Joyce is a wonderful teacher. He knows what he is talking about and is really helpful. He tells you exactly what is expected of you and gives you a lot of chances to ask questions. I really learned alot from him. Its not an easy class but that should be expected seeing as it is a 300 level course. Great guy!

He is quite a hard ass, his tests count 40%, where as all the written assignments and projects count as 15% of your grade. His tests are hard, but he does give you the essay questions before hand. He also has written assignments due every week. This class is not a easy A, as others have stated. Don't sit in the FRONT ROW!!!!!

He obvioulsy knows his information. He goes over the topics over and over which can be helpful. But he is not understanding and he isn't clear on his expectations for assignments. If you take this class it isn't an as A at all. And make sure you ask questions. Make sure you get an answer too, it's tough.

I took his class and laughed constantly in the back row when he yelled MEN LISTEN UP MEN. i was like one of 3 girls and had all of these crazy jocks in my class. his tests are hard but i never read anything and still passed.

Mr Joyce is really nice teacher,he's very agreeable and understanding when it comes to helping students. He does spit quite a bit, but he can't help it and it's a result of throat cancer. His views can be frustrating at times, but he's a really nice guy. Don't go into his class looking for an easy A
