Dr. Larsen is a great professor. As long as you either pay attention during his slideshows in class or on your own time you will do great! Most of his tests have questions that are logic based so even if you don't study too much you can still guess the right answers. Try to get him as the lab instructor if you take his class.

Dr. Larsen is a great professor. His "sarcasm" can be hard to read and his material can be drawn out sometimes, but his powerpoints are online (which is quite a bit) and he'll always give you a good idea of what kind of material will be on the exams. Your only grades are labs and exams, but as long as you study then notes, you'll do well.

Enjoyed the class. Labs were informative & his passion for "pondscum" shows in most lectures. He doesn't mind if you are attentive or not, but if you are loud, he will call you out. Study his .ppts & tests will be straightforward. Overall, Dr. Larsen is an extremely knowledgeable professor that is willing to help anyone.

Dr. Larsen went out of his way to help everyone in need. He doesn't care if you pay attention to his lecture, because if you don't want to try, he's not going to make you. It is important to listen though, take some notes, and just drift in and out of attention. His tests are straight forward and the labs are actually pretty fun

Easy. So boring. You dont have to go to class. Just read the lecture notes online. That is really all you need to do. Make sure you take him for the Lab. never takes full 3 hours and is really fun and easy!

Really cool labs. We went to Raven Rock State Park for our last lab. It was not a bad hike but the stairs to Raven Rock itself by the river were a killer. Dr L. walks at a pretty quick pace too. He's in good shape for an old guy. Overall - fun class. I learned alot about the environment.
