Class format is designed to minimize professor's effort: his "teaching" consists mostly of handing down unsupported opinions. "That line works." If you don't share his quirky, cocktail-party poetic sensibilities, you'll get nothing out of his class. Williams badly weakened the English department with this one.

Raab rules. If your poetry hinges off of meter and rhyme, it probably sucks, as Raab undoubtedly pointed out to the soreass below. His insight is striking and I love reading his published peotry. It's pretty great.
