Reed was (is?) an excellent professor. As usual, most of the negative comments here are complaining that he's too difficult. One person even griped that to do well on the test, you would have to know what the terms mean.. What else would you expect?! It's not a freebie class. You'll have to work but you'll also learn a ton.

Prof. Reed was incredibly interesting and made the subject matter interesting as well. Not gonna lie, the class was tough. But the material was interesting and Reed made it fun to learn. He's hilarious and jokes around alot. You can tell he's brilliant. If you have to take the class, take it with Reed. He's the most knowledgeable on the subject.

Okay TAKE THIS IN,take this class at another school. Unless your a legal major, this class is useless and to top it off, hard as crap. Unnecessarily tough tests with barely a curve. I got the average grades for the tests and ill probably get a B- or C+. He draws you in by saying he gives 2 pts toward final grade, not enough. Boring class GPA downer

HATED CLASS. Dropped after the first test because I could not take it anymore. I think it is really odd that he had a seating chart for 300+ person class. Such a bore, majority of test questions "which does not belong" you would HAVE to know what every definition meant. TAKE ANOTHER TEACHER!

O. Lee Reed is an American Badass. Best teacher I've ever had. he has more talent in his nub than all other teachers put together. His TA is a giant Douchenozzle tough. William Charles Hayes III AKA "CHaaaaaaAAaaaAad" sucks a big one. Go to class and read and you'll be OK. I wish this guy taught all my classes. (remember: CHAD is the ENEMY)

Great class, great teacher. Professor Reed is always interesting and keeps the subject relevant and entertaining with his wit. Tough class but worth it. Read the chapters and follow his outline and its not bad at all. I actually looked forward to this class and learning from him. Very fair and funny guy, not as intimidating as people think.

Excellent professor: Wry, rude, assured and interesting. Tests are very difficult and require critical thinking. Go to class, read the book, take notes. The material is very interesting because you see it around you everyday. Be prepared to work, but the knowledge you gain is invaluable. He doesn't give a crap what you think because he aint changin

Dr. Reed's class is VERY HARD. I studied a lot, but only pulled C's on the tests. The only people who do well are frat boys who have older versions of the tests. Know your vocab and be able to answer tricky questions on the exams. Overall, good guy but not an easy class.

Dr. Reed is an awesome teacher. The man knows his stuff. If you ride it out and stay with him, you will learn a lot, but it won't be easy. Regardless of what your grade is when you come out, you are better off academically. It's scary how smart he is and the command that he has over the material. A+ teacher with horrible tests. Just be ready.

Professor Reed is eccentric to say the least. He never failed to make me laugh, and he does a great job at making the class interesting. Most say his test are hard but I would have to disagree. The class is graded on a curve, which is good except some kids have stolen test. Be sure to read the book ahead of time and you will be fine.

HARD AS CRAP! People only do well because they cheat and have old tests. It is impossible to get a good grade in there unless you are a genius or a cheater. 80% of the questions on the test are like "which term does not belong?" It sounds easy but it's hard. He should not teach anymore. His time has come to an end.

Make sure that you study from the get go and know the material, because the test are comprehensive. The test are extremely hard so you can't wait til the last minute. I thoroughly enjoyed this class. Professor Reed is a great instructor who teaches an engaging and thought-provoking course. That being said, the tests are extremely hard and seem several degrees more difficult than the material we learned in class.

Excellent instructor! finally a class that was interesting to sit through. Grading extremely hard, but I do find he tries to make it fair. You are pitted against your peers..and if your peers happen to have old tests, well, you will end up being average "C" student.

Crazy hard. top 15% get As but the problem is a huge portion of the class drops, so it winds up being like top 10% at most. It then goes on a 10 point interval from there. On the last test I took, the top 15% cut off was at 86%.. a four point curve on these tests is nothing. 33% of the class got a D or lower. All Qs on test are vague as possible

If you want to learn from one of the best at UGA, I would take his class. If you are looking for an easy A or even easy B+, I would definitely look elsewhere. His tests are incredibly difficult and even with the curve, you may struggle to get a B. If you like slightly sarcastic and smartass type teachers, he is the guy for you. Very funny.
