Comment:

Never wanted to take psych nor was it necessary for my major but as a g.e. I didn't care. I have to say not only was this class easy but it was very insightful and fun! Not like your usual slides and textbook reading lectures. Lee is very understanding and obviously loves what he does which makes going to class even more fun! I suggest taking him!

Comment:

Uncle Lee is one of the best Psychology professors I had here at DVC. He is really passionate about what he teaches and doesn't give you any homework at all. The study guides are hard only if you wait until the day before the test to complete them. I never had a boring lecture in his class as well, and most of his lectures come from experiences.

Prof Lee ensures that you don't spend a ridiculous amount of $$$ for a textbook, doesn't give homework- however the studying you need to do for tests is homework in itself- is genuinely caring, funny, and keeps his lectures fun and engaging. Fair warning: this class is NOT for procrastinators. Just do your part, pay attention, and you'll get an A!

Dr. Rode is an awesome professor! If you want to expand your knowledge on the subject psychology, or if you just need the credits, then take this class. You will learn a lot in his class thanks to his somewhat unorthodox yet effective teaching style, and despite how much content he covers through the semester, this class is far from from being hard

this is coming form someone who received an A in his class. Don't take him. The study guides for the exam questions is homework in itself, you need weeks to finish those study guides--you are being fooled. Also, the study guides are so broad & subjective, ur answer will be wrong b/c your interpretation of the question is not the same as his.

Professor Rode is an amazing teacher. Youre graded only on tests but you can drop the two lowest scores. His lectures are interesting, engaging, and fun. I had him years ago for a different psych class and when I found out I needed a pre-req to get my masters, I was delighted to see he was still teaching. Five years later and hes still got it

A great example of an "easy" class done right. The way the class is structured makes it so that you will learn so much just from showing up. The lectures are insanely entertaining and interactive, so much so that this will be that class you are excited to show up for. Show up to class, learn the material, take a few tests, get an A.

Professor Rode is definitely one of my favorite professors on campus. He is caring, funny & incredibly smart in his field. He doesn't give homework or projects. Your grade is based off of five tests (he drops your lowest test score) and the study guides are super similar to the tests. He truly wants to see students succeed. I'd give him an 11/10.

Dr. Rode is amazing. The class is not difficult at all, the content is interesting, and he has a great way of lecturing and keeping everyone involved and interested. He essentially gives you all the answers to the tests before you take them, and there's NO homework. He's also very kind and hilarious. Enjoyed every minute of his class.

Dr. Rode is amazing! If you're looking for a teacher that cares and understands you this is the one to take. He makes this class incredibly straight forward and simple, as long as you show up and do what little he asks of you, you'll be fine. I loved Abnormal & Social psych classes because they were so low stress I was actually able to enjoy them!

Dr. Rode is so awesome, and so is his class. No homework, just tests, and he gives you ALL OF THE QUESTIONS (on the study guide). He drops the lowest test score. All you need to do is study and pay attention in lecture because he gives out many answers. He makes the class super fun, and he is very chill.

Provides you with all the test answers in the class's handy workbook. Lectures are based off of a wide variety of learning materials and it is easy to follow along. Drops two of your lowest test grades! No homework, really interesting guy, definitely would recommend for anyone interested in Psychology, or looking to cross off a gen ed credit.
