he was ok. he seems very nice as a person, but he is very dry in class. I guess its hard to spice sociology up :) to me his tests were easy do the study guides and listen to him a little in class and u should get a good grade on the test.

He is a wonderful man and strives to be the best he can be. Gives four tests which are easy. Go to class, read the book, and get an A. He gives a study guide and is extremely flexible with his students. Truly wonderful!

One of the best professors I have ever had. He knew almost everyone's name, went to his office hours once and he was very helpful. If you have to take Soc 200...Shafer is the way to go.

Shafer is the best professor! He is the definition of a true educator because his main goal is to help students succeed. He is so helpful and he really cares about his student. He is my favorite professor so far. Pace yourself and go to his office hours and you will be fine.

BEST PROFESSOR AT WCU! He is always willing to help you with your take-home exams. One of the only prof. who really cares about ALL his students. He can be boring and over explain things, but he's still a great prof. Definitely take Shafer!! It's almost a quaranteed A.

Honestly, his lectures are a tad boring, but the class is sooooo easy! He gives the study guides WEEKS in advance, and the exams are almost TOO easy! Take him and you will definitey get an A! (He also has extra credit options!)

Ok, the class is boring. But, he teaches well. That's all that matters, and most the other teachers at West Chester can't do that. He is a genuine, caring, helpful teacher. You learn and get a good grade. He's one of the few professors at WCU that deserves his paycheck and a raise!

He is a very helpful person. It's been quite awhile since I had him, but I remember him well. He seemed to care about what he did and also how interested you were. I would highly recommend him.
