Avoid at all costs and if you must take him (like most engineering students) accept the fact that your GPA will drop

Len is probably the most confusing marker I have ever had. You can write down word for word what he tells you to write down, 5.5/10. Try it again, essentially the same work, just a different experiment, same wording... 8.5/10. Give up and write whatever you want, 6/10. Do that again, 8.5/10. No idea why..

Literally one of the worst teachers I have ever dealt with. He doubles back on what he says in the lab from group to group. Extremely tough marker with no clear grading system. He talks though most of the lab time which leaves the rest of the lab rushing to complete on time. Miss a lab? fail the class. Will never take again

By far the worst instructor here. he is not clear at all. I have never seen such low marks in my entire life. PHYSICS is my best , but he gave me crazy low marks. DO NOT TAKE HIM !!!!!!!!!!! STAY AWAY.

Had him for the PHYS 1100 lab so no textbook. In any case, his grading criteria is REALLY CLEAR but that's also the worst part about him because he's a very tough marker. You have to be EXACT. He's also helpful and v. clear but you've got to be ready to listening to him speak for like an hour. You'll understand by the end but use up A LOT of time.

Helpful, but talks WAY too much. in a 2 hour lab you only get about 1.5 hrs to work. if you ask him a question make that 1 hr to do the lab. also VERY picky. only once did i get an 8, the rest i got 6-7.5.

By far the worst, least clear, obtuse teacher I've ever had. His expectations are beyond reason, badly put, and he wants students he can 'babysit' rather than teach. He should either (i) stop teaching, (ii) take his own course, or (iii) go learn some English.

Len talks way too much. You may want help on a question but once you ask, he won't stop! It makes it hart to ask questions if you're running out of time on the lab because if you ask him, he won't let yo u go! But I know he just wants his students to understand the physics. He's very caring for the students, and very picky with sigfigs so watch out

Len is very demanding; he wants the labs done HIS way, not how someone else wants it. ALAWAYS use his format, the proper terms and SIG FIGS. He is VERY helpful and will answer almost any question you ask. Do prelabs for extra marks as well as understanding. Do not be suprised if your book comes back soaked in red a few times. Don't cry but learn.

Len is awesome, he's approachable, clear and makes lab fun! For the people complaining about 7's, it is department policy that labs are marked OUT OF 7. To get higher than 7, you have to go beyond what is asked in the lab report. At least that was the case when I took Physics 1100 and 1101. It really doesn't take a lot extra to bump your mark up.

Len is one of the most obstinant men I've ever met. He was determined that no one passing through his door knew diddly-squat about physics until they'd seen it demosntrated it a decidedly redundant and completely biased fashion. He prefers the English spoken on whatever island he hails from.

Pros: Smart, helpful, 2 hr lab, easy lab "exam". Cons: Ask him a question and he can talk forever. Just when you think you aced the lab report, it comes back defaced in red ink with a number less than a 8 on it.

he's a great lab instructor. just follow his format and u'll do awesome. He explains better than anyone else. And if u put in a little hard work, gauranteed u'll never get less than a seven, but always higher. Sooo have funnn.
