I didn't read the textbook once and showed up to barely half the lecture... but still got an A. If you show up to recitations and go to office hours, you'll do fine. (I should also note that the highest math I've ever taken is elem algebra.)

Great computational teacher, but i felt conceptual stuff was unclear and difficult to understand. I only passed this class because of the TA. People don't go to class and complain. I attended all but 1-2 classes. Put the steps to each problem and examples on your "cheat card" and you will pass. this class is hard, GO TO CLASS AND RECITATION.

Quant is a hard class but I did well in it mostly because of recitation. He isn't very good at explaining concepts, but he gives a good amount of extra credit for attending all recitation sessions and for doing the SAS assessment. Do the practice quizzes, he reuses some questions! Computational part of exam counts more than conceptual, good thing!

He isn't as horrible as everyone says. Yes, his exams can be tricky but he doesn't test on anything he hasn't went over in class. In my opinion, his practice quizzes are very similar to the exams and he even uses some of the same questions. No extra credit, grade is solely based on four exams (lowest one dropped). If u want an easy A don't take him

Was difficult to speak to. Gave really rude responses when grading exams. Also only thought the basics in class and never explains step by step... His final were way to difficult compared to the material being thought

I don't know why he's getting bad reviews. Always posts all powerpoints and gives review quizzes before exams. Doesn't post videos in class, and the quizzes are easier than the exams themselves. I used the textbook, but he doesn't say you HAVE to. Exams can be tricky so STUDY STUDY. No extra credit, 2 exams + final, I'll probably pull a B+ or an A

Have him for quant and social psych and he is awful. Powerpoints suck, shows a million videos in class yet never posts them nor give the name of them. he gives online practice quizes that are 200% easier than the actual exam. Trick questions and his exam is cumulative. which sucks

Knowledgeable, entertaining professor. Can be a bit sharp sometimes, but answers most questions honestly. Only graded on 4 equally weighed exams, 3 regular+1 final, lowest regular grade is dropped. No curve. textbook but he doesn't care about it. Show up for lecture, that's all the tests are, but attendence isn't taken. Ok GPA booster if you care

The best professor I've ever had. You can tell he has a strong interest in the subject and that he truly wants his students to do well. The class is not graded on a curve, but tests are very straightforward, everything is covered in class and textbook use is not needed. His lectures are interesting and he is a very captivating and witty speaker

I had him for Quant in my first year and now for social psych senior year. He is one of the best professors I've had. His humor is great and the way he explains concepts is helpful. Go to his lectures and pay attention and it's an easy A, for both Quant and Social. I went into Quant with no knowledge in stats, but still got an A. PAY ATTENTION.

Take his class knowing that he cares deeply about the content and strives to help you pass his class when you go to his office hours. The subject material is interesting, but it is important that you don't go in thinking that you will pass based on common sense. That is the biggest frustration and downfall of everyone.

I had him for gen psych my freshman year and never went to class or studied for any of the exams. I just crammed for the final the night before and still ended up with a C. So if you go to class and study for the exams, I'm sure you could get an A.

Was a typical lecture class. If you showed up and paid minimal attention you would have an idea of what was going on. I rented the online textbook to study for the exams and did fine. I always studied the night before using slides and textbook and never had a hard time. 3 exams (the lowest grade gets dropped) and a final and he did give some ec opt

He's really condescending and lectures are unorganized. Make sure you get a good TA bc that's the only way you can do well in this course! He started to offer extra credit for attendance this sem. Copy exam review problems down for the cheat sheets bc exam problems are very similar to exam. Conceptual is hard but use online resources for it.

Do not take this professor. You get graded based off of 2 of 3 exams and your final exam grade. No study guide, boring lecture, and the quizzes he gives on Sakai are useless. You REALLYYY have to study hard for his exams and its almost like he expects you to further educate yourself on the topics. He also doesn't curve!

He definitely knows what he is talking about when it comes to statistics but if you are not strong in math I do not recommend taking him as his exams can be tough. I haven't taken math since high school and found it difficult to perform well on exams. He can be moody at times but is clear with expectations. Grade is based almost purely on exams.

Being a classic rock buff, I loved how he jammed out to rock music before every lecture. As for the class, I did not even buy a textbook because all of his exams were based off his slides (posted on Sakai). He's a really good lecturer and I felt I learned a lot in his class. I got A's easily on all the midterms. KEEP DOING YOU PROF KILIANSKI!!
