Had him as the capstone for my MBA program - most disappointing. Constant group work when most worked full-time. Spent class time speaking at you and not getting to know students. Asked for a ref letter because I earned a high grade and did well and he refused saying he didn't know me well enough. Now an exec in NYC and still find him laughable.

He is the best among the rest. i learned a lot and he is a very helpful as well. However, I gotta agree his lectures are hella boring to a ridiculous extent. And oh did I mention that if you do not get an A in this class you are dump? dat should sums it up. Good luck fellas

Comment:

Oblivious to how no one pays attention. A ton of knowledge, but terrible at making it meaningful. Tischler's way of teaching is outdated, and won't be accepted by younger students, who want a more dynamic professor. Avoid taking him.

There is no reason whatsoever for this course to be 3 hours long. All you do is take surveys and write reflections. Oh, and on your own time, you meditate. Meeting every week is overkill, and it really should be mostly online. It also doesn't help that Tischler is incredibly boring too.

I took Dr. Tischler for Org. Behavior at the MBA level. This guy is a great storyteller and very much like a caring grandfather. However, this does NOT make him a great teacher. He lectures the entire time, gets off on looong tangents, and makes you feel like you could do the course online. You WILL be bored in his class, guaranteed.

This class is both interesting & boring at the same time. A lot of the topics are interesting & useful. However, sitting in a 3 hour lecture is not fun! There is a lot of outside work(reading, meditation & bookwork). There is also a group presentation & an individual project. None of it is hard, just time consuming. Easy A if you put in the effort!

Grad level. Anyone who says he is difficult shouldn't be in grad school. You write quite a bit but poor scorers get a 7 and top scorers get a 10, not a big spread
