Did not think I would like art history but I am now really interested in it because of learning so many parts about it. The professor is very passionate about the subject and it catches on.

Comment:

Professor Mason is really nice and really funny, but even though she clearly knows a lot about her field and has a lot of experience, she doesnt really teach you anything in class. All of the information and works of art for tests are just from your textbook, classes seem more like reviews of chapters. So, if you like reading, this class is easy.

Comment:

Lesa Mason is genuinely really sweet. She's very caring and absolutely wants to do well. She knows what she's talking about, but she executes it in a semi boring way. I wished we were allowed to do more engaging and exciting stuff with the info that we were given with. I barely paid attention to the class, but study and you will do well on the test

Easy to get through. Class can get mundane at times, shows hour long documentaries every so often. Very sweet person. Barely any HW besides studying for exams, easy presentations, and one essay. Helpful to pay attention in class during her lectures. Will push back exams and presentations when needed. Easy grader. Good to get through Art His 100.

Comment:

Professor Mason really knows and loves art history and it shows. She does get off topic fairly often, but besides that she is a super sweet and caring lady! Not too much homework, pretty average workload 10/10 would recommend.

I took this class online and it was a great class. We wrote a paper each week and every two weeks wrote a second one on top of the normal ones. Plenty of reading and Blackboard discussions. Site everything properly and actively participate in the online discussions it'll be an easy "A". She gave great feedback with plenty of correction time.

I found it hard to follow her lectures. She was all over the place. She would also tell our class not to worry about studying something because it wouldn't be on the test and then that would be what the entire test was about.

It was a great class we did lots of interacting in projects and discussions. I really liked the individual research and the professor edited my papers and gave me advice about how to improve my work. She was inspiring.

Professor Mason was by far one of the worst professors I have ever had In college. If you email her she HARDLY emails you back answering your very important questions unless you follow up with her more than 1 time. She does not care for the well being of her students and doesn't care if they fail. She is unkind and shouldn't be teacher.

I honestly never knew what was happening in this class. She cannot decide if she wants to follow the syllabus or not. Is way too incompetent with computers to be teaching int he 21st century, she won't even email you back. I don't know anything about the course material, but I know a lot about her European travels.

Test are vague and what she teaches in class isn't on it. Very tricky questions. Her lectures are an hour and a half and the last hour of class will be a documentary. She's a super nice woman and very passionate about art history. However, if you aren't a great test taker, I wouldn't advice for you to take her class. Wouldn't take this class again.

Comment:

Really nice and easy to listen to. 3 tests that have image and vocab memorization. You don't have to read to pass but just start early with getting to know images and you will be fine. Other really easy powerpoints are available to get your grade up. No hw except to study. one three page essay. Super passionate and goofy!

Professor Mason is one of the nicest teachers I've had. She once moved a test back because her students felt unready. She has three tests and one essay, and all are fairly easy to get good grades on as long as you pay attention in class. She lectures a lot, and make sure you take notes. She shows a lot of movies and its dark so drink coffee.

Professor Mason is one of the nicest teachers I've had. She is genuinely passionate about art history and wants her students to be excited by the information she shares. It is firstly very difficult to take a class where the teacher doesn't seem to have a clear grasp on technology. Her feedback on essays were always very long, vague, and not at all helpful.

Professor Mason is the sweetest woman. She is passionate about art history and it makes the lectures interesting. Her tests are ridiculously easy and there are only three.

Comment:

Passionate about her subject but can get distracted or off track sometimes. Only had 3 tests for the class, an essay, and a few easy powerpoints. I didn't need to read at all just had to come to class. Tests were mostly based off the powerpoints she had online so if it weren't for our absences system I might not even have had to go to class.
