Comment:

The idea that Lesley teaches because of her "connections" is ridiculous. She publishes more than any other prof in the Engl. dept., and as such adds some much-needed prestige to a dept. that is lucky to have her. She demands respect and compassion, and I suspect those with anything negative to say did not exhibit either. She is a treasure.

I was extremely disappointed in this class. I felt she was teaching because of her connections and not because of intelligence or talent. I found her approach and opinions conventional and limited, and she was appallingly smug.
