Comment:

I loved having calculus with Lesley! She's a little odd and her lectures are boring but if you learn from examples (like I do) this class is perfect. Tests and quizzes are just like her notes and she gives out lots of practice questions. Do the questions and you'll be totally fine on all quizzes and tests.

Comment:

I took calculus in high school so this course was very easy. The material was nearly the same and Lesley goes through the work book very slowly. Attendance is not necessary to pass the class as long as you keep up with the work in the booklet. Lots of quizzes but they are relatively easy. Sometimes Lesley wasn't the most helpful when talked to.

Is a good instructor overall. Sometimes carries personal matters with her into the lecture and is not fully focused on the course material. Helps to have some prior knowledge on the course material precalculus and Calculus as some concepts are difficult to understand if she isn't fully focused on the lecture

DONT take her if Math isn't your cup of tea. She does not know how to teach math, just does all work on her tablet, doesn't care if you understood, no feedback is given. Holds Seminars before tests which is absolute waste of class period. Had to study all of the material by myself. BY far the worst math prof.

Math isn't my cup of tea and she made it seem difficult for me. She doesn't seem to care much about the students and rushes through lectures. Had to study it all pretty much by myself and seemed my friends help. DONE take her if you have the option not to.

If you are a proficient math student, you will do fine. Her tests are quite easy (except the final, where I saw stuff that I have never seen before). Lectures are long and repetitive. She likes to take her time with her notes.

It's amazing how much I still had to learn only days before the final. Her lectures are downright useless. Essentially taught myself the course because she wouldn't respond to emails, and her notes are a mess.

I'm not very good at math but everything was very clear and a perfect pace. Lots of examples in her notes. She was always late but her lectures were kinda boring so it was fine. The tests are exactly like her notes so getting a perfect grade was possible.

I found her very hard to understand. If you are naturally good at math, she's pretty easy, most people got A's. But if you're not naturally that great with math, DON'T TAKE HER.

She works very slowly and provides many examples. I'm assuming she would be a great teacher if math isn't your strongest subject, but since it is my best subject, I found it dull at some points. I just worked ahead. She provides all the notes so no need to buy a textbook which is a huge bonus

Great teacher, accepts criticism of errors and will answer even the dumbest questions in class time. Doesn't treat you like an idiot even if you are one. Extremely tolerant of class noise.

Keeps a steady pace throughout the course, does lots of examples and makes the tests very fair. She will make mistakes when doing examples (seemed somewhat nervous teaching) but there is not doubt that she knows the material well. She is extremely patient and helpful and will have no problem explaining difficult concepts to you.

she is awesome. super funny and willing to help. i hated math and she helped me understand it, and get my first B in a math class. i'd recommened her to anybody who wants a fun relaxed teacher and to pass calculus

She is very smart, but just because your smart doesn't mean you can teach. In her instance I believe thats the case, she goes through examples thats her teaching method, arrives late frequently. She does not give half marks if you have it part wrong its wrong. I didn't enjoy math with her at all.

The class always moves kind of slowly, and she sometimes gets off track, especially with Google images. She doesn't really teach as much as do sample problems, but it seems like she's figuring them out as she goes along (almost like she has never seen them before), which can be helpful. Often late.

She doesn't teach... she just writes down solutions to problems. Even when she tries to explain the question she mumbles or goes off on a tangent. Don't buy the textbook - you wont use it ever. She's always late for class, which means even less time to write exams.
