Tim was an amazing professor for both lecture and lab. His midterm was completely based off of his notes and was very straight forward. He truly cares about his students and was the reason I was successful in this course as he inspired me to love this area of biology. Labs with him were easily my favourite part of the year. I would highly recommend

Tim is an AMAZING prof! He is so passionate about his work, and really inspires his students. His test was exactly from the notes, and he was not out to trick anybody. I wish he taught the class for the entire semester instead of half. He tells great stories, and treats students like family.

Tim is an amazing person and instructor. He was my prof and lab instructor three years ago, and to this day he still knows me by name and checks in with me regularly. He is passionate about his work and loves to share that excitement with others. His catchphrase of choice - "Holy Diversity Batman!!!"

This guy is one of those profs that loves their work so much that they make you love your work. Be prepared to get excited about nudibranchs. And totally strive to get him for lab portion; Tim made it so much better!

Tim Goater is one of the best professors at VIU. He is extremely passionate about science, especially parasites. He clearly loves all of his students like he would his own family, that is a seemingly rare quality in professors. Your grades do not come easily to you, you have to study alot, but you will be rewarded!

Tim is one of the best professors I have ever had. I was lucky enough to have him for both lecture and lab, I learned so much. He makes sure that everyone is on the same page before he moves on. His notes are extremely easy to study for, I barely looked at the textbook. Exactly what's on the notes is what's on the tests and exams. AWESOME PROF!!

Tim is so inspiring because he truly just loves what he does and all of biology. He works hard to show you how great it is so you can appreciate it as well. If you are confused at all before the midterm GO ASK FOR HELP!!!! Tim will give you all the time you need with him to understand the material and I promise it will help your grade!!

Tim is an incredible biology instructor who is clearly very passionate about what he teaches. His lectures are engaging and interesting, and its definitely worth it to show up to class. His tests are 100% geared towards his notes, so if you copy them down and study, you will do well in this course.

Best bio teacher I've ever had. Hilarious, makes lectures enjoyable, make sure you read ahead and pre read for labs or you will fall behind. tests are geared to his lecture so take good notes and focus on what he emphasizes.

Tim is a favourite-very passionate and wants you to do well! Had to do an insect collection which was a big project but worthwhile in the end. Lectures are really interesting but he does not post notes. Lets you know what to expect for the midterms (all written) so they aren't that bad. One of the most fun courses I've taken. Holy diversity batman!

tims lectures seemed drawn out but he made sure he went over an idea 2 or 3 times so you got it. he showed lots of videos to help you actually understand and i found that he had a weird sense of humour that you couldn't help but giggle it made class fun. also you need to know malaria life cycle so start studying !! also doesn't post his lectures!!!

Tim is honestly the best professor I've ever had. His notes are clear and he gives you enough time to copy them down. He is unbelievably enthusiastic about his material and if you love bad jokes and weird sayings then he's your man. His tests are hard but very fair. I'm taking courses out side of my specialization just to have him.
