Avoid her like the plague. Rudest professor I have ever met. Doesn't reply to emails, thinks she's better than everyone and doesn't care about students even slightly. If you don't need the class she's teaching, honestly don't take it. Makes you hate Trent.

I mean she tell you what she expects right off the bat, but it's almost like she is so narrow sighted that she only sees one way for people to learn. She's very insensitive with her words and I wish she would be a little cautious with what she says.

Beware of the grant. Leslie is a nice enough person, in terms of her character, I can see myself going to Starbucks with her, but as a professor, she can be a little insensitive when she talks about certain things.

Comment:

I can understand profs having a strict teaching style, but she is overly difficult for no good reason. Really unmotivates you when she doesn't explain things properly then gets mad when the class doesn't understand the concepts. Also she expects 30-50 references on her papers which, again, is just being overly tough for no reason. Terrible.

She says you don't need the textbook because she only tests out of her lectures. Problem is her lecture notes are all over the place and it's hard to make sense of things. She talks really fast too and it's hard to make sense of it all. Was interested in this topic before but she made me dislike it. Just not my style. Also the term paper is nuts.

Do your readings, attend class and work hard. She's a great teacher but I can see why people give her low ratings her style is very tough and you need to be ready for each class. If you start early on your essay and ask for help, your guranteed a 90 and just talk to her as much as you can, she seems harsh; but she'll guide you if you need guidance.

Doesn't really help her students when they ask questions. When students try to ask questions regarding midterms and finals, they tries to dodge the question and starts talking about something else. Don't take her classes, she doesn't really have much of a passion for teaching. she is only at trent for research purposes.

I hated Dr. Kerr at first in second year. Then I figured her out. She treats us like colleagues and prefers you go directly to her. She is very accommodating but not to be played for a fool. If you want to know where you stand in academic prowess, you will get a very accurate assessment from her.

She was an awesome prof!! And the cat comments...they were useful and made me laugh my ass off. Such good lectures and she prepared you well for quizzes and exams. If you went to lecture and labs, you knew everything expected

Leslie Kerr does an absolutely fabulous job of covering the course material in an effective way. It is a tough course with alot of stuff to wrap your head around, but Prof. Kerr does a great job of it. She is a bit tough, but effective professor.
