Honestly, this is the BEST professor you'll get. Showalter's awesome and knows his stuff. He's very effective because he really tries to take the elements of hist. and govt. and relate them to the youth when he teaches and makes the class worth coming to everyday. He's a funny guy, very sarcastic, but means no harm. He really appreciates effort too

I took Showalter online. He has really good recorded lectures and his blackboard page is laid out really well. If you do the work and take the quizzes on time then youre sure to pass with a great grade.

This was an honors course. Honestly, based on some of my friends comments, it was even easier than a regular Texas Govnt course. Due dates for everything is specified at the beginning of the semester and you can totally work around it. A lot of research for the final but that was basically it. The quizzes were done with the book he provided.

Highly recommend, I never had a boring lecture threw the semester. He lectures in a way that helps you under stand the subject. The only time that attendance was taken was for test, on lecture days you weren't required to be there. He tells you what pages to read in the chapters. Fast on grading and quizzes are done at home. I would take him again.

I loved his class, I took him twice. One in person and one online and I loved both of them. Study and learn the material and you should be fine. If he sees that youre trying, he wont fail you. Hes hands down the best teacher Ive had!

Dr. Showalter has been my favorite professor at Lee College. His lectures are always hilarious and fun. You do have to take chapter quizzes before he lectures on the chapter, but if you use Google you'll at least make a B. This semester he threw in some essay exams, but he even let us write an outline beforehand. Take him! You won't regret it!!

Great teacher overall, works with you if you have actual problems going on in your life. Showing up to class you learn something different every time, and his lectures really aid in the quiz's, paper and assignments he gives out. One of the most enjoyable teachers I have taken at this institution.

Super funny and cool but, very hard. His tests are super hard and quizzes r a hit or miss. Makes u read ur book, quizzes u, THEN lectures about it in class. He works backwards, that way u actually work for it and teach urself instead of him teaching u and quizzing u afterwards! Hes funny and all but seriously tough. Exam was a 6 page hard essay:)

Showalter is amazing! His classes are always full of fun and energy. There was never a dull day in his class. He took the subject and made it his own to make it the most interesting as possible making you not wanting to miss a single lecture. You never know what he's going to say next and you always leave his class with a smile!
