SOOO BORING, and very crazy (like not in a good way) Easy tests but you have to read and pretty much memorize the text book. His lectures are not helpful, don't even go for psyc 1200

Overall, he made the course extremely easy (the test answers seemed to come straight from the textbook). Yes, I went to almost every class (although I'm not really sure why) and they are boring and it is hard not to fall asleep. Nevertheless, he's still a good prof but really needs to do something about his teaching style.

Ya the lectures were pretty boring, but none the less he's still a good prof, he'll definitely listen and try to answer all your questions.

I don't agree with many of the negative comments below- Leventhal was an incredibly wonderful prof! He was so animated for a class that would have otherwise been dull. The powerpoints were hilarious and added a light mood to counter the monotonous material. And he is always so happy. I would recommend him to anyone.

He wasn't bad for 2250 but when it comes to basic stats his tendency to overkill is way more prominent. He honestly explained the calculation of a mean for forty minutes. Also, this is not a history of statistics course, and most of the course was just the history of the debates between Fisher, Pearson, etc.

He's an easy tester, and is extremely fair with his test questions. He is also very helpful. My only problem with him is that i find his lectures a little boring, expecially if you've already read the chapter, because thats what his lectures are based on.

Nice guy, he really enjoys what he is teaching -- BUT he is BORING and all he does is lecture word for word - seriously - out of the text so I got an A+ and only went to the classes with quizzes ALL YEAR

These lectures are pretty much pointless to go to. All his lecture material comes from the textbook, which you have to read anyway for the quizzes. His explanations are slow and get boring becuase he says everything twice or three times over.

Boring (though necessary) class material, but this guy made it worthwhile. I could not believe the enthusiasm he has for something as boring as basic research methods. It made the class that much more enjoyable. Easy exams too.

I can't believe how enthusiastic this man is. He brightens up my day every time I go to class! Extremely friendly and willing to help you at any time to answer questions you might have. He understands the material isn't fascinating, but really goes out of his way to make it more interesting and help you feel comfortable in his class.

Pretty much useless lectures. He explains nothing much better than the text does, and all he uses are text quizzes so you don't really need to go to class.

Nice guy that does a good job of showing the "Critical Thinking" aspects of Research Methods, but he doesn't do a great job teaching stats. Theoretically, the lab was supposed to do that, but neither did (the labs will change every year). 2 easy exams (m-choice), so just read the summaries on the website.I never read textbk & got a B.Easy workload.

In his class you dont cover much material in the lectures - he tends to cover the material very in depth thus leaving no time for many topics. But the material you do cover in class is very clear and you develop a great understanding of it. Know the definitions from the text. Grading scale is crazy (<60 = fail; 85 = B+).

Jolly old guy. Classes are boring, he has a bad habit of overkilling...everything. His tests really aren't that hard, as long as you have done all the reading. He is understanding, and knows that none of us really want to take the class. He truly is enthusiastic, which makes the subject material a tiny bit more bearable.

Wow. This guy made me so frustrated I had to stop going to classes, thankfully they're pointless anyway. He constantly interrupts students in the middle of making their point, then five minutes later makes the point that student would have made if they had been allowed to finish! I found the exams easy enough but an A is over 90? Not that easy.
