Shumka's a great prof that gives detailed info so that you have to take lots of notes. If you show that you've put effort into studying she will help. Great sense of humour too! Too bad she's moving back east.

Shumka can be a little intimidating at first, but she really knows her stuff. Although I had difficulty with her slides because when she did identifications on quizes I didn't find I had all the info I needed to answer completely!

People think she's tough because she actually expects an iota of work and forethought, but even a half-ass prep job will put you in good standing. DO THE READINGS, take copious amounts of notes and the reviews aren't that hard. Overall, shame she's going.

Shumpka is tough but interesting. I loved her women GRS class. She is a tough marker and is a stickler for details. Know your stuff, and note the hits she gives in class about exams. She is awsome though!
