He assignd homework that wasn't for a grade. Points were pop quizes, tests, (1-4 ?'s), & bonus for perfect attendance. Once, he accused me of cheating on a test. He counted some of my answers wrong that weren't, & when I showed him, he screamed at me & said I changed my answers. Besides that, he was funny and would make me laugh.

A lot of math professors just start quickly working examples and you have to try and follow what is going on, but Dr. Zhang tries to really explain the concept before he dives into the examples and that helped me a lot. He does a good job of explaining each step once he starts into the examples too. I wish he taught 288.

English speaking is bad. Teaches his way or the highway no matter if you came to the same answer.

Well I really liked Dr. Zhang, but I really struggled in his class, I passed but not my best grade ever. He gets easier on grading through the semester but he is still very picky. He does offer lots of help, if you can understand him...He insists that if you do the homework that you will do good on the tests, but as for me I did not, be careful..

I really enjoyed Dr. Zhang. After reading some of the previous reviews, I wonder if he has softened up a bit and if his accent has gotten better. I thought he was great. Attendence isn't mandatory; instead, he gave 20 bonus points for perfect attendance. Also, he told the best, cheasiest jokes ever. He reminded me of an old Asian grandpa. :)

Very fair teacher. Work hard, do your homework, study for tests, and you will be fine. Funny guy. gives 20 bonus points for good attendance (I recommend going to class).

Hard to understand because of the accent. Does alot of examples in class, so if you read the chapters before each class the classes are helpful. If you haven't read the chpters and at least have an idea about the material you will be lost in class. The tests are not that hard, all the problems are very similar to the ones he assigns for homework.

He is a decent teacher who loves his subject. It is sometimes hard to understand his accent and he gets confused when students don't seem to understand the material he taught. Overall a fair and fun teacher, and extra points if you attend every class. I am taking him again next semester for calculus.

If you read the chapters and study just a little, then you'll get an A in his class. The asian accent isn't that bad; I only had trouble understanding one of his words. He'll help you understand the math, provided you know what you have trouble with. Good teacher.

Not a good teacher at all. Very hard to understand. DO NOT TAKE! He doesn't care about his students. Doesn't care if your struggling. I talked to him after class and told him I was struggling and he said there was nothing he could do about it. Doesn't know how to teach. Can not speak english very well.

Would not recommend Mr. Zhang unless you've have previous calculus experience... and I don't mean pre-calc. Difficult to understand at times... not helpful WHATSOEVER! He will often times make you feel stupid for asking a question... He's not one of my favorites to say the least.

I really was looking forward to this class, but I had to drop it because I didn't understand anything. His accent is so strong you can't understand him. He is horrible at answering questions because he makes you feel so stupid for not understanding something. I don't recommend him AT ALL!!

He really likes math, it's his life, however he has a strong asian accent and is sometimes hard to understand. He draws some symbols weird and it took me about 2 months to get used to his writing. Must go to class. Homework every night for points. Tests can be hard. Must study or at least make sure you understand the material to pass.

This is by far the worst teacher I have ever had, period. He talks down to all students, almost getting into a fight with one who dared offer another solution. He doesn't explain, just works examples at top speed and tells you to learn how he did it. Awful, I have over 60 credits and he might ruin my 4.0 GPA.

He's a good professor. He's a bit hard to understand because of his accent, but if you go to class and pay attention you should be fine. He does take the homework for a grade, so be sure to do it. And don't forget to study.

Dr. Zhang is an all-around fun professor. He tells you almost exactly what will be on each test. The material covered is not very difficult, but he does fly through some sections.

This is the best Trig class on campus. Dr. Zhang is funny, loves math, loves to teach math, and wants his students to do well. Memorize everything he tells you to memorize. He doesnt use the exact methods in the book but he uses the examples in each chapter and assigns homework that will help you pass the test. HOMEWORK counts as a test grade!

138 is a lot of work, but I thought this teacher was good. A little hard to understand but he answers your questions. He gives a study guide for the test that is almost identical to the test, collects hw once a week for 100 total hw points in the class, and gives 5 tests (100pts each) and a comprehensive final.I'd take him over other math teachers.

When he does a proof on the board. He will start it and two to three lines into it he will say the rest is left up to you. Only one person in the class has an A and that's because he understands everything. The rest of us are in the dark and have been for weeks.
