She really tries to engage the class, though the class doesn't tend to reciprocate. Lectures can be a bit boring but quizzes are fairly easy as long as you pay attention in class. The case studies are super fun!

Each weekly reading assignment had a 20 question quiz (10 multiple choice/10 true-false), and weekly discussion participation is required. There was a 10 page paper due at the end of the semester that is 35% of the grade, although not difficult if you can write well. You don't have to know much about law to do well in this course.

A fair grader and super responsive and timely. No lectures so the majority of the class is reading and discussion board posts. One seven page paper. There's a quiz at the end of each chapter which is timed. An electronic copy of the book makes the quizzes more manageable. A very fast grader which I appreciated. I would take this Prof again.

Linda is a tough grader, but you are able to figure that out early on and adjust accordingly. Discussion is not very guided which means more work for the students, but it does allow for more interesting discussions I think. This class is a lot of reading and writing (with relatively easy quizzes for each chapter). Overall enjoyed the class.

Fair grader, interactive, responsive to emails and posts. Little teaching; most learning is self-reading & discussion. To get 100% on posts, do 2X what she recommends. One paper (7 pages); Read book chapter take multiple choice quiz. No extra-credit offered. Her class is the first to fill during registration and is a good first class to take.

Loved this class. Discussions were generally interesting and Linda is so genuine. No exams, 2 4-5 page papers, online quizzes and discussion posts. Overall, not that much work and really interesting.

Easy class. Each week there's a small writing assignment, online MC quiz on a chapter in one of the books, and a discussion post that's mad easy. Linda is extremely nice and pretty humorous. Overall great class. Highly recommend for anyone, especially ISOM students looking for an easy elective.

GREAT PROFESSOR! really knowledgeable in this topic and had great stories that help you learn. Class isn't mandatory but a lot of her notes she adds stuff to them (out loud) so it would only help you if you went.

By far, one of the best professors I've had at UMass. She will meet with you and give you the insight you need. Very personable, and actually cares about her students. She presents the material in a captivating way so that it is fairly easy to grasp. I highly recommend her!

Linda is probably one of the best professors in the HTM department. She is so kind and is always willing to help you. There are three tests and a final. Your grade can be based on the three tests or the final. Definitely worth taking and very interesting.

I liked this class. You do need the textbook to do well on the exams. The case studies really help you understand the logic. Her grading is simple- 3 exams with the average or the optional final exam. She scales the exams too. The optional final was online too. It gets no better! You don't need to go to class, just read the text.

Class is interesting. Papers are pretty easy. Online discussion sucks. Believe me, if you take this class you'll kill someone the next time someone says tell me 2 things that were new and 2 things you already learned afterwards. Not a bad elective, just be forewarned
