Gerry filled in for another professor halfway through the semester and changed the whole attitude of the class. He made the material clear and did not add any surprises to exams. He genuinely cares about his students and will help anyone who asks. One of the best professors I have ever had, he really couldn't be better.

Econ 104 was a really easy class. I don't really like macro very much but having Gerry out there was great. He took over the class 1/2 way through and i definitely learned a lot. Exams were the EXACT same as practice tests and were SO easy. If you get the basic concepts there is no reason to not get an A.

He is the sweetest professor ever!! I learned a lot in this class, and didn't really do much. Papers are assigned every two weeks, but I honestly was able to do them like an hour before class and still managed to get As. Just pay attention in class, and you'll do fine. If not, you can still just read the online readings he posts and you'll be ok.

He only talks about old economists. His exams include writing small essays and need a lot of memorizing stuff. However he is a nice person and loves to help.

Brilliant man. Sweet and down-to-Earth. Super helpful. Ran into him in the elevator midway through the semester and he said "If you ever need a recommendation of anything just let me know." He just really cares about students.

A truly wonderful man. 4 easy essays and final paper - not hard grading, just wants you to speak something on the subject. He has a pleasant voice and is understanding of his students. I looked forward to his class. Classes can get dry near the end, but hey it's economics

Class is a mess. Subject is extremely broad. The quizzes are pop quizzes and worth too much of your grade. Group project is completely disorganized. Gerry is a nice guy though.

Easy grader. Covers interesting & relevant material. First half of semester more interesting than second. Easy papers, online midterm & detailed review sheet for final exam. Fun & interesting group projects for discussion sections. They require a lot of work but it's easy to get a good grade.

Fairly easy grader. Knows his material. Interesting group exercises. First half of the class is him wasting time complaining over the Iraq war and oil. You actually learn International Economics during the second half of the course.

Jerry epstein is a really great teacher. With no knowledge of econ i learned so much. The material is about relevant issues, and i am always all ears during lectures! The class is pretty easy. There are two group projects, and the midterm is online! I started to read the books, but we go over most of the key points in the lecture anyway.

The no shoes guy is Friedman, not Epstein. Friedman's funny. Epstein's just a classy guy. I'd take another class with him if I still went there.
