Quirky woman, passionate about what she teaches. However, she rarely is really pissed off. Tests were a breeze, just pay attention in class. I don't think there was too much from the text on tests, but skim through the book anyways.

Great professor. Just read up on the traditions before you go to lecture, like in other universities. Then if you reread your book and your notes, you can do well. This professor loves her subject and her enthusiasm is infectious--all sorts of religious traditions became interesting to me!

CRAAAAZY lady- she was waaaaay disorganized so my notes made no sense- dont read the book- its useless, and the essay questions are unreasonably long and not clear- she knows what shes talking about but has trouble telling us clearly

The class was easy if you have a lot of religious background, if not it is hard. you need to study a lot for the class. Her ideas and notes dont flow well making it hard to find a connection within the ideas of a topic. she gives study guides that include ideas she never taught. sHe does seem to have a very good knowledge of the topic, it's hard

This class is very interesting and she knows what she is talking about. GO TO CLASS because if you miss the lectures, you will be completely lost. She explains things very well and is available for help. She is entertaining and makes the class interesting. Take detailed notes. Tests are hard, but study and you will be fine.

Seems nice, but so many students in class that its hard to get personal with her. Always responds to emails, and is very open minded to every religion never tries to expose one rel. more than another. Tests are super hard though, & the study guides dont help much. Wants very specific details on tests & its all hard to memorize. I guess shes just ok

very vague tests and expects too much in too little time. Once I got 100 on the MC, and a D on the essay for "not forming an argument" I am surprised everyone else seems to like her like so much. she is carp on a stick if you ask me.

The best teacher I've had at SDSU. Was not interested at first and because of her, I am now minoring in Rel. Studies. Seems busy but is always willing to give her time. She knows her stuff and is open to all ideas. I love her!

Very interesting teacher, and really helpful. Doesn't have much time after class, but if she doesn't know the answer to a question she'll research it for next class. 2 quizzes and 2 midterms, plus the final which are all off of powerpoint notes. Overall, great class, I definitely recommend it.

She knows her stuff, and her lectures are powerpoint & straightforward. Scantron tests based directly on lecture, and just ORGANIZE your essay well to get a good grade. Really tries to encourage class discussions and in-class questions. She's not boring either, i recommend her. You'll learn a lot.

DO NOT TAKE! this class was so boring. She was not sympathetic when it came to a borderline grade, and very unwilling to listen. The TA was great, but professor Holler was horrible. Try to take an easier GE class if you can.

This class was great. I learned some much about the worlds religions. She knows so much, and she is pretty chill. And she grades easily and can adjust your grade at the end of the semester to help you out. Some of her essays are a but tough, but if you go to class, all is covered.

her lectures are actally interesting! I have only fallen asleep a few times! she is funny so she keeps your attetion. the class is kinda hard cus it's so much to remember. you dont have to read the book cus the tests are based off her lectures, study guides rock too! but you do have to study A LOT!
