Lau does not fully understand the technical material she is forced to teach in the class. She spends the whole Lab period trying to teach herself the programs she's supposed to be teaching us and is constantly being corrected by students on what is and is not possible to do. Her quizzes and tests are insanely hard, photographic memory is needed

Does not speak English well, which you could get past if she were competent. Is supposedly an Information Systems professor, but does not understand how to do basic computer processes or programs. Shouts a lot, but overall does not know the material she is teaching. Overall, avoid if you can, but hope and pray that Longwood lets her go.

Professor Lau is great! She's such a sweetheart and cares about us! She tries to make jokes and keep the class interested. You can pay attention to her teaching or not, just as long as you do the homework it's an easy A. The homework is easy and so are the tests, you really have to try to fail this class. Rare textbook use, mostly online.

AWESOME teacher! She is such a sweetheart and really wants you to learn! Do all of the homework(which is easy!),if you don't do it, its because you're lazy. Its all online, I just knocked it all out first week of semester and only did tests along the way. She is hard to understand at times because of accent, but she knows what she's talking about!

Dr. Lau is a great teacher. I have taken CIMS 170 with her as well. I took 370 with her over the summer and it was just chapter quizzes and tests and then one very short case assignment. She is such a nice lady and she is always available to help. The class is hard, but once you get the hang of things, it will be easier. She is great!

was a good teacher. i took her over winter interim. is a busy class but well worth it to get the class over with. she did a chapter a day and had a quiz 4 days of the week and a test the other day. you cannot get behind in this class or you would fail. but if u reach ur deadlines u will be fine.

I loved Dr. Lau! Yes, her accent is bad, but it is do-able and it can be funny at times. Her class was the easiest class I have ever taken. You can resubmit the test as many times as you want. I got a 103.8 as a final grade. I might just switch my concentration to CIMS if I don't like Accounting. She is the best!

Absolutely the worst professor I've ever had. Doesn't teach, just spends most of the class time ranting about meaningless stuff. Implies her 7 year old kid is smarter than we are. Also the rudest professor I've ever had. She'll cut you off when you're trying to talk. Also pulls up homework grades and calls people out who failed or didn't do it.

You know something is wrong when our adverage for a test was a 47... Don't bother listen to her teaching, just keep up with the book. Lots of homework, tests are hard. Funny phrasing with the language barrier- "Your friend break your jump drive? You smack her round a little and then say 'it okay'" haha

Worst teacher I've ever had. The class average for the multiple choice test was a 60%. She doesn't know how to teach, and most of the class is self taught. Test questions are not related to the material and be prepared to spend over two hours a week on homework.

Dr.Lau is pretty much the funniest teacher I am taking right now. The language barrier is great. Headers in PowerPoint are Haters, shes always good for a laugh. helpful as an advisor, class is VERY hard...tests averages are around 65...i had the highest grade on the first test with an 84...not very clear in explaining material
