This guy is the CT Fletcher of the economics department. He KNOWS what he's doing, and he's smart as f--k. People who give this guy a bad review are pansies who couldn't stick with it when the going got tough. You MUST study in his class. If you do the work expect a good grade in his class. If you **** around don't bother showing up to class.

Definitely is not a helpful guy. Very cocky and arrogant. Test/ assignments are very difficult. Complains that its too easy when the class assignment average is a B lol. Brawstow is the way to go. Just calling it as I see it.

Dr. Lehr was not helpful when I asked about the Econ tutor. His tests are ridiculously hard, he himself stating that the class average on his tests is around 68 for his classes. His tests are structured to be play-on-words type questions to throw you off the bonafide answer. He is very cocky and condescending, not a good experience, Fall '13

He is an amazing teacher! He helps you understand the notes by taking about them more in depth. He is enthusiastic about the topics and really wants his students to think outside the box and succeed. He doesn't take attendance but it is really beneficial if you go. His tests are challenging, but if you study hard it should not be difficult.

A very enjoyable class! Pays special attention to macro level economics in reference to modern politics and the economy. Attendance isn't mandatory but it helps enormously to attend classes. Dr. Lehr's teaching methods are very effective and his love of economics is clearly seen in his teaching. A great teacher!

Dr. Lehr is a pretty amazing teacher. We talk about current events and then tie it in to the topics we are covering in class. He is very funny and the tests aren't too hard. Plus he has that neat course packet that has everything we need and is WAY less then a reg. text book!

Dr Lehr is the best teacher I have ever had. He always talks about current things, his classes are super interesting and motivate a lot. He is a great proffesor.Longwood is very lucky to have Dr Lehr teach here. His tests are very fair. He is the best teacher!!!!!!

Very hard teacher, but also very smart and know what he is talking about. Class discussions are always encouraged with him. He enjoys talking about current events and he can ALWAYS relate them to economics, no matter what the subject is. Many people think he is hard, but if you do the work and go to him if you need help, you will be fine.

Great professor. I've had him for 3 classes and he pushes you to learn the material. Tests are challenging and he callenges you in class. He likes it when people participate. Study notes before every class and you should do well. Classes are sometimes boring, but the more you put in the more you will get out.

Comment:

He can get on a tangent about wine or cheese or his kids and harry potter and the tangents are interesting. His class is very hard but he is helpful and interesting. He is always there to help if you get a bad grade on a test he expects you to come to his office and you all work it out so you can figure out what went wrong and try to make it better. I loved his classes and highly recommend them. He is one of my favorite Longwood professors.
