All my high school English teachers were blown away by my creative language and gave me A's without actually looking at what makes an essay successful; support, evidence, research, organization, etc. This is the first teacher who actually helped me to grow as a writer. You will work in her class, hard, but you will also learn.

Okay, here's the deal on Kiszely: she's really not as bad as people make her out to be. Is her class hard? Heck yes. Is she always crystal clear? No. But the thing that sets her apart is how much she cares about her students. I was at her office so much and each time she was so thoughtful in her advice to me. You need to put in the time/effort.

Professor Kiszely was the best that I had at Fullerton College. She actually cares about improving the writing skills of her students. I'm at UC Davis this fall and if it were not for her class I would feel very behind as a transfer. She does an incredible job at setting her students up for success in the realm of higher education!

I took her for english 103 and it was a very confusing class, she's a very hard teacher when it comes to grading, there were only 5 people left in my class, i had a very hard time passing her class, i would maybe recommend another teacher if possible.

Never thought I could be so frustrated in 1 class. Never used this website before, and after her I always will. Her rubric leaves everything up to her interpretation, and that's never to your favor. She told everyone in our class they are probably won't pass. That says a lot about your teaching. Save yourself the frustration; take another teacher.

She is by far the worst teacher I ever encountered during my 3 years here. Her assignments are pointless, her tests don't relate and all the classes consist of is the students telling opinions about the reading rather than HER teaching. She seems like a lazy woman. DO NOT TAKE

I took this Summer10. I thought I was crazy for thinking she was a horrible teacher who was ridiculously picky and wanted you to write what she thought, not what you thought, but my current English 104 teacher even said you shouldn't take her and she's awesome. Kiszely is too hard and picky and my best essay was given an F and my worst was an A!!!

At first I could not stand her and her stupid recursive scribbles on the board. Somewhere along the way I found that I had learned more than I had given her credit for. Shes persistent. And if you follow her instructions carefully you should pass. I'd consider taking her again.

Took this class over summer. It is really hard so if you are not a naturally good writer, you should probably take an easier teacher. An A is possible for the brightest, but you have to work your butt off. Kiszely treats students a little bit like high schoolers, she definitely has a difficult personality. Avoid her if possible.

Dr. K told us from the beginning that she is a hard grader and that is true. This class is not for honors students who want to maintain their 4.0 GPA, but we did improve our critical thinking skills. Ms. K was always nice, always professional, and never ridiculed anyone. We maintained our original class size. Good prof, but very hard grader.

Overall a good teacher. She can be a little irksome at times and has a habit of repeating entire lectures on the necessity of the revision stage of the essay writing process, but if you struggle with writing then this is the class to take. She's helpful and knowledgable a wide array of subjects. Discussion style classes aren't for everyone though

Honestly, the class itself isn't hard, she doesn't assign too many essays or anything, she's just insanely picky about what she wants and it's enough to make someone go mad. I've gotten frequently frustrated in her class because she grades on the weirdest scale ever. Her prompts are insanely confusing. Don't take her.

heres the deal with this teacher. i failed her class she is not easy at all. BUT she made me a way better writer and for that i guess im thankful. The reason she is so hard is her grading- she expects primo quality work. dont expect to glide by.
