She really puts a lot of work into your feedback and is a quick grader (sometimes I'd hand something in at 9am and get it back by 1pm!). She is tough without a doubt but really cares about your understanding of the material. And she is so knowledgable! You have to work, but her class is worth it

If you get this professor drop the class as soon as humanly possible she is the worst. My class started off with 30+ and steadily dropped to below 15. I wish that I was one of those who dropped her.

Prof. Atreed is the without a doubt the least likable person here. She will blow your questions off and make you look like a fool if you speak in class. She is rude and cold. She sets her tests up to ensure that at least 70% of what you studied will not on it. She makes sure that there is ample material you didn't study on each test.

If you ask Professor Attreed a question, she will sometimes even take it as an insult. She emphasis primary sources to the point of obsession. An EXTREMELY tough grader. I highly advise avoiding all her classes. I am a history major and love the material but I will never take a class with her again.

I would agree with the majority of the previous comments. Super hard grader, esp on exams. She does like to help if you seek it though. I suppose a history lover would love and find this class interesting. HIST 112-02

The woman who made me a poli sci major. Rome is an interesting topic but and you can tell she knows her stuff, but she fails at making it interesting for her class or being at all helpful on the course material when you need her to be. If you want a Rome class at HC check out the classics department. Then you'll be golden

She isnt the easiest teacher, but she is always fair. Work is very straightforward and you do not have to read if you do not want to. 2 papers, 2 map quizzes, midterm, final. def. an easy way to get history credit out of the way.

Taking this class was a huge mistake. I worked rather hard and received very poor grades. My roommate has had her in the past, done no work, and received A's [I did not know this until after I had received graded work back from her, so it was not a factor in me taking the class]. It makes no sense to me.

Extremely hard professor, but quite brilliant. If you put in the effort, she'll meet you half way (she gave me lots of sources for my research paper). If you're up for the challenge (this woman is going to have you working all the time), then take a course from her.

Great professor. Sometimes boring, but extremely helpful outside of class. Easy as long as you know how to footnote your papers (follow the Prucha guideline). Better with the advanced classes, not as interesting with the surveys.
