A fair professor. His lectures are entertaining. It's his tests that are pretty tough. His quizzes weren't too bad. They'll definitely help your grade. I would definitely go to office hours and also start studying days in advance. Try not to study alone as group studying is very efficient. Also, if you're not a science person, I wouldn't recommend.

Very funny guy and able to entertain class with his stories. Gives you his lecture notes and does online quizzes instead of pop quizzes which is helpful. As long as you pay attention in class, do readings and homework/quizzes, and study, you'll do well in his class. Be ready for lectures. Class helped me to decide to be Psych major

Professor Axelson was the driving force behind me majoring in psychology freshman year after I took his Intro to Psych course. He is passionate about what he teaches and wants to make sure you are truly learning. He is incredibly helpful outside class, understanding, informative, and is interested in your ideas. Outstanding professor, my favorite.

My favorite professor at Holy Cross. A great guy. Lectures are long but he is always funny and makes lecture interesting. Exams are very straightforward and easy if you study the notes he provides. Go to review sessions before exams, he drops hints. A fascinating class. Actually looked forward to doing the reading.

Axelson is amazing! His lessons are very straightforward. If you actually take the time to study the material, then you will ace every test. The tests are not difficult at all, as long as you study, you're guaranteed a high grade. I studied and got near a 100. He wants to know if you understand the material. Take notes in class. Make flash cards.

Professor Axelson is very engaged and interested in his teaching. He is very clear and thorough when teaching new material. He does tend to favor athletes over other students. Other than that, I'd just watch out for tricky test questions (multiple choice and essay). Overall a good professor!

Great guy, and easiest of the intro and physiological psych profs. Gives you his own booklet that verbatim tells you all you need to know for exams. Makes material relevant to everyday life. You learn a lot and can easily do very well.

Amazing professor and person. He is a tough professor but one of the most intelligent people I have met at Holy Cross. I learned more in his Physio class than any other class. If you study the powerpoints you will do well.

Prof. Axelson is very organized and clear-cut. There's 2 midterms and a final, which are pretty difficult despite the fact that the material seems easy. Uses powerpoints which are very helpful- just make sure you study thoroughly for the tests, otherwise you're not going to do good at all. There's also some quizzes which go along with the powerpoin

definitely plays favorites, especially if you happen to play football (no offense to those guys, i just wish i was on the team so i could be favored too!) ok prof but a bit arrogant. loves tangents completely unrelated to material. much better in seminar format than in physio. powerpoints loaded with info, but still need text
