I had her my freshman year and became and American Studies major because of her. She's a great professor and is always willing to meet during office hours to discuss anything. If you respect her she will respect you! She's AMAZING!!

Louise is hilarious. She is very passionate about the topics she teaches, and will show you a new and more interesting side to history, and turn you into a better researcher. You wouldn't have to try very hard at all to get a B in any of her classes.

Louise is awesome, point blank. She's a great teacher who tries to offer point of view that might not otherwise be represented and she cares so much about her students. If you go to office hours (or just when she's in her office) she'll talk to you about whatever is on your mind and offer whatever guidance she can. She is the sweetest lady ever.

Nice woman, but very confusing as a Professor. Was very interested in taking her US Empire class beforehand, but she taught it horribly. Very confusing paper assignments and likes things in a very specific way. Can be helpful if you meet with her about the assignment, but sometimes even then it's still very confusing. I do not recommend.

she's ahrd to understand. intimidating. but absolutly brilliant, and she you go and see her during office hours she is such a sweetheart. don't take her class unless you are interested or else you may contemplate suicide, but if you like the topic, you'll love the class and you'll love her. she has a dog named pooch, she's obsessed with him.

Lots of reading for the class, always be prepared for discussion. She expects quality and rewards you for it. If you're not going to put the effort into the class, don't bother taking it because she won't be nice to you during grading. Don't miss classes. She's scatterbrained but always keeps track of attendance. I enjoyed it, get on her good side!
