Yellowfly gives you the questions to her tests, but she expects the answers to be word for word. If you miss a class you best believe you won't be getting the notes packages you missed, she doesn't care.. AND group assignments are impossible to get a good mark on. good luck getting more than 65%.

this by far was my least favourite class of the semester (1st year). Luanne WILL rush at the end of her lecture because she spent the first hour and a half on the first 3 slides!!! She will mark your exam answers wrong if they are not word for word answers and exactly what is in the lecture. read the textbook for mc answers and questions.

Worst professor ive ever had. Her projects are all group based, and expects you to make time to get together every week. Each project my group got the same mark every time : 62%. even when we asked her how to make our grade better, and took that into consideration, nothing ever changed. Good luck passing this class. Absolutely impossible

Luanne can ramble on about some topics, and gives long powerpoints and doesn't always touch base on the slides within them. She gives the questions to her exams ahead of time, but there are four group assignments that involve meeting with the group outside of class, and generally take a lot of time to do. Bad group bad grade.

SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT TAKE HER. She goes off topic (talks about her son and horses). She goes over the class time limit (3hrs). She expects word from word on her tests from the notes. just do not do it.

She is rude and inappropriate. Text is mandatory as she takes multiple choice questions from a question bank for the text. Her lectures don't' follow any of the information in the text so be prepared to memorize the text word for word. You have group assignments you have to correlate a schedule with 5-6 other people. Good luck and beware!

Luanne was unrealistic in her expectations for assignments, unorganized during lectures, regularly taking longer than the allotted class time. In general Luanne was a terrible professor and I would not recommend anyone take her classes. Especially not as an introduction to sociology. Don't buy the textbook, she doesn't use it.

Luanne was a very tough prof for a FIRST YEAR COURSE! On her midterms she would only give marks if your answer was word-for-word from the notes. Her group projects were absolutely terrible. Her classes always went well over 3 hours and her lectures would typically end up about her talking about her horses or son. 0/10 do not recommend!

Luanne is awesome! She is a tough marker, but if you study your notes word for word you'll do fine, I really enjoyed her class!

Hated her class with a passion. She'd always go off topic and over the time limit of the class. She expects 5-6 university students to get together like all the time and do group projects, I would never take her again.

Avoid taking this prof if you can. She goes off topic every class and goes over the time limit as well. Her class is heavily based on group projects and the projects are not clearly explained so you have to wing it. You have to come to each class and grab the notes otherwise you won't pass

Has a tendency to get off topic during her discussions, and waste precious class time. Even if you put down the exact words she used to describe something, she will not necessarily accept your answer for full marks.

She is knowledgeable about the content but she gets off track easily. Almost every class she would go over the time & sometimes not cover all the content in our packages. Her tests are tough. Extremely tough marker on written responses. Make sure you really read and understand her textbook.

VERY tough marker, takes points off for words misspelled, wants almost word for word. Lectures are very off topic, doesn't explain group journals of assignments at all. She's a good person though, but I thought about driving my car into a ditch after each class. Makes first years out to be inadequate and undeserving of A's. Very opinionated.

Her lectures are amazing. Very interesting and tangents about her personal life actually make the material more interesting and easier to understand. However her journal assignements are ridiculous. When asked to clarify she rarely gives helpful advice, and since they count for 20% of your grade your better hope you get a good group.

Luanne is a very tough marker. Her lectures often go over class time, because she can easily get off topic. Most of the information you actually retrieve should stick to you (at least it did for me, the more interesting parts). She can help with clarity if you ask her on her own time. She includes group participation in her material and activities.

Luanne is very funny but her lectures were very unclear. She was also very unorganized. She also expects group projects and she gives a review for the exams except you literally have to memorize the thing in order to get a decent grade.

Not a good teacher. Memorizing how she views sociology word-for-word made me finish the class feeling that I had learned nothing.
