The class material and lectures are interesting but as far as returning graded papers and giving feedback goes it's delayed and not given back. There's also lots of reading which isn't too bad if you're used to reading a lot.

I love Lucas, but in terms of lecture I wish he'd stayed more on message. If this were a seminar it would have been perfect, but the interesting tangents the conversation went off to, weren't on the final. It was 20% participation, 40% midterm, and 40% final, which caused a LOT of stress. Overall okay, but unclear.

Lucas is a great seminar professor. He leads with engaging questions and really allows the students to direct the conversation, while sharing his own personal experience. I kept most of the books on the syllabus because I loved them all. When he realized that the pace was too much, he understood and slowed the pace. Show up to every class!!!

He is the worst professor I've met so far. Unclear and extremely unorganized. You won't learn anything from this class. You have to learn by yourself.

I loved his class on Marxian theory. He knows how to tie together theory and examples in a way that helps students understand the subject matter in the context of different economic theories. His lectures are engaging and interesting. He is also very accessible outside of class. Wssays were kind of simple but I actually enjoyed writing them

He is one of my favorite professors. I learned so much from him in every class. He's always willing to meet outside of class and offer guidance. This is the kind of professor high school students dream about having.

An amazing public speaker, but not the best teacher. I felt lost in his class a lot and he seemed to go on tangents easily which made following what we were actually learning difficult. Be prepared to spend A LOT of time reading for his class. His feedback can take a while and he is a pretty hard grader.

I took Economics of Education from him. For the first 4-5 weeks I felt so lost in the class. It was so hard to figure out what we were actually learning. Thus, I didn't learn much. We would read books, sometimes talk about them, sometimes about education, but other times I'd sit there, so lost. Not a good experience, but a nice guy.
