In my personal opinion, I do solemnly believe that this class is a poor choice to take for your creative arts requirement. The amount of written work is inconceivable.

I LOVED this class!!! The German films totally broadened my perspective. Yes, there are a lot of papers & it's not just watching movies, but we're in college people. Grow up. You want the diploma gift wrapped?

German Cinema is the worst class. Doesnt care about students, attendance policy is ruthless, workload is incredible, shows no sympathy for grades, stay away from tarnavsky!!!!!!!!! I went into class with a negative attitude everyday...i give this class an F-

this lady is crazy in the head!! if you think this class is just about watching movies your wrong...several papers and when watching the movie you watch it in fast forward and then she stops every 2 seconds to comment on something that you didn't see b/c it was fast fowarding

guys, this is an easy way to fulfill a creative arts requirement. she's really easy, but has limited office hours although she is willing to read any paper before hand and make corrections before it is actually due. loved the movies too.

Great class! Does play favorites, be aware, just be nice to her and you will do well. 3 papers and a take home final. No tests, quizzes, whatever, this is an awesome class to take if you want to be lazy! Just read, participate, and you're good!

Didn't like her at first because of condescending comments and bias grading, but now enjoy her class. Very bias in grading papers, but very knowledgable and insightful in class discussions, willing to help. Easy work- open notes tests, re writes for papers.

Very hard to keep up with her lessons. She speeds through the introductory course and makes you feel dumb. I hope she retires. Half of my class dropped it within the first week and I made the mistake of sticking it out, but eventually dropped it. Good luck to you if you have her.
