Stanley Sandler is likely the worst professor at the University of Delaware. Forces you to by a textbook he wrote since you'll need the tables within to pass his exams. Taught at a rate thrice that of the syllabus to the point that the rest of the department had to intervene.

This guy knows thermo. Even so this class is, traditionally, a very hard and abstract study, he really makes concrete a lot of the concepts. His book is mathematically airtight, and a joy to read. The old adage about thermodynamics (that you don't understand it the first time through, etc.) is rendered outdated by the quality of Sandler's class.
