Comment:

This professor repeats everything she says two or three times. She also mispronounces things and sometimes gives incorrect info. She tests your memorization, not your understanding of the concept and it shows in the class' grade distribution. She acts superior to and cannot connect with students. I didn't need the text book/still got good grades.

Really interested in the class but the teacher doesn't care about her students. She openly insulted us after the first test saying how our brain cells were dying and how we were all going to get Alzheimers because we didn't remember dates. Also she hands tests out from As to Fs so everyone knows your grade. Love the class but she is SCARY....

She is a good teacher. She is strict about attendance and lateness, but her classes were pleasant. Although she knows a lot, she's not a good speller, and will often give you the wrong spelling for terms. Sometimes she even gives misinformation, but for the most part she is very knowledgeable when it comes to Art History. Take her class s

This is by no means a class for slackes. Mooney is a tough grader. She expects you to know every little detail about every art piece created in history. She repeats herself a lot. Has 3 major papers. 2 exams and a final. If you are a student that is looking for an A with a C effort, this is not a class you should take. Believe me, Im suffering lol

Professor Mooney is the best. She is passionate about her field and is extremely knowledgeable. Attendance is MANDATORY, the information for all 3 exams are given in class. Take notes, everything she says is important. MAKE FLASH CARDS! She expects you to know the material and grades hard but it was the best class I've ever taken. No coasting here!

Professor Mooney is one of the best teachers at HCC. She presents the material clearly. She gives clear hints to what will be on the test. Though there is a good deal of note taking, it is justified by the details you have to know about the art, so you can do well on the test. Overall, it would be your loss if you did not take this teacher.

LOVE her...she's very passionate about Art History which is infectious and makes class much more interesting. Her tests are alot of memorization, but not too hard. But if you come to class, take good notes and keep up, it'll be easy.

She can be little too intense about her course and hard to approach. It seems she is off base with students and their lives outside class. Her tests and grading were not too difficult but I had to drop because it was just too much. If you already have a heavy load, this course is ambitious. Consider yourself warned. She was a nice teacher. She knew what she was teaching and loves it obviously. But she is a hard grader and very strict. She had easy quizzes where you memorize pieces of art, but her tests were difficult. A lot of note taking and reading from the book. The class was boring, I almost stabbed myself with my pencil, but got through. Final hard!

She expects you to memorize ALOT of slides for quizzes & tests. Youll be expected to read chapters in the book before coming to class, do this b/c she calls on people even if your hand isnt raised! Tests can be hard & require lots of studying, take extensive notes in her class! Interesting to listen to, shes been everywhere she talks about.
