Had her for EN226, my favourite English class to date. Amazing professor whose in depth analysis of texts is engaging and thought provoking. She honestly is a model teacher and more English professors should follow her lead and engage their classes in meaningful discussion rather than hash out plot summaries. Don't miss out on a class with her.

I love her as a prof. Extremely helpful and she goes through the texts thoroughly so you really get an in-depth understanding of them. But you better remember to do your readings and bring your text to class or she'll point you out and that's never fun.

Had her for British Literary Tradition. FANTASTIC PROF! Made difficult lit. very easy to understand. You HAVE to do the work or don't bother. Don't bother texting, playing with PC or talking in class, she will single you out and then kick you out of class! Does not put up with slackers wasting her time and other students time. AWESOME PROF!

The Shak is an awesome prof, her lectures are difficult to follow but as soon as you see how she rolls you'll be good to go! She goes out of her way to make sure her students are helped in anyway she can and her lectures are really interesting! Just make sure you go to class her slides are a joke... its all about what she says and the text!

The Shak is AWESOME, not only does she know what she's talking about but she invests a lot in her students and goes out of her way to make sure they get the help they need. MUST ATTEND lectures...if not, the only thing she posts on her slides are quotes to illustrate her lecture topics, so you'd be hard done by if you decided to stay home most of the time. Great great prof, absolutely hilarious too. Fair marker. As long as you were present and didn't interrupt her class she loved you.

She seemed nice, but the problem I had with her were the lack of clarity in her notes. I would have rather learned information regarding certain quotes than just taking down the actual quotes. A little unsure of herself, but in a way that was kind of refreshing.
