HWs dont teach you anything because thrs an unlimited attempt & an option to check your answers..if you dont get a 100 on all of the HWS (there are many) thats your prob. Her tests are ridicccculously long and have alot of "trick questions". Her lectures.. lets just say bring your laptop, phone,a book to doodle etc cos theyre boring and unorganized

Professor Overbay was very easy. There's so much extra credit on tests (About 20 Points) and online homework which has no attempt limit and is a big part of the grade. She's pretty boring, but definitely not hard. Get an A on both exams to get exempt from final

She seems very nice at first but dont judge her based on it. She is there when you need help and she is always at her office; but in class, she just goes over textbook material. Its best if you read and learn on your own because you dont learn anything in class. Three exams, random pop quizzes, homework online. A or better - Be exempt!

Professor Overbay expects you to know everything about economics when you come to her class. She wants you to know 100% no matter what. Its an decent class with online homework and three exams. Sometimes she will give you pop quizzes; but she never mentions them. You have to teach yourself since her hand writing is bad. Good luck =/

knows ALOT about economics and focuses ALOT on real world issues - much more interesting than Downs for sure! Basically, if you read the chapters, come to class on time, and tell her that you are really trying (unless ur not then never mind) you will get an A. Too bad I didn't wise up until the end...ended up with a B-

Its a tough class but she is a great teacher and helps you to understand it. She asks you to read the chapter, and then goes over it and answers questions in class. Homework is a big part of grade, but it is online and you can try again on questions you got wrong until you get 100 on it. Tests are tough but she gives 20 points of Extra credit.

Don't take her. You basically have to teach yourself. I understand the subject is difficult but she doesn't teach at all. If you can avoid taking her class, do so

I don't know why she is getting bad ratings. She is a very good teacher and knows a lot about econ. She teaches well, and gives a decent amount of homework. It is a hard subject, and hard to grasp but she'll teach it well. You have to participate in class, she is very big on that. I would take her again.

Professor Overbay is extremely boring and treats her students like they are children. In addition, she is somewhat forgetful and will often teach the same things over and over again or forget to teach something important. However, she's an easy teacher and an easy A. She gives alot of extra credit. Just make sure you participate and you'll do fine.

Most people don't like her for some reason but I thought she was great. I think the biggest problem is don't fill your final project with stupid fluff. Be objective and straight to the point. Also, don't be dumb and not cite your sources like so many people forget.

She is amazing! She will always help you, if you had a tough time in the class its because you didnt try at all. For anyone who wants to learn theory and how it relates to current events she is the one for you. If you are lazy take someone else maybe kant that will be fun

Very nice woman, but if you want to learn, not the best option. She knows what she's talking about but her lectures are unorganized and she doesn't cover everything. Not hard to get an A, but you'll have to read the material in the book to make sure you understand it.

She is horrible. Don't take her. She doesn't teach well and spends a bunch of time on topics not important to the theories of economics (i.e. she will make you memorize current economic data without actually explaining what it means). Also makes you bring a picture of yourself to class, which is creepy.

Nice lady, speaks too fast and her writing is incomprehensible so she is a bit hard to follow in class. She is a bit ridiculous at points but she wasn't the worst prof I have had. Do the homeworks, study a bit, spend some time on the paper, and show up and you will do fine.
