He is what every college professor should be - challenging! College shouldn't be super easy and he is not! Study and you will do fine. Expect to devote a lot of time to his classes. If you can't pass his class, you don't need to be a music major!

Dr. Julien is funny and energetic. He wants us to learn a lot. People who study EVERY DAY instead of cramming do very well in his classes. Handbell choir is a blast. He's one of the most genuinely caring professors I've known.

I have Dr. Julien for Handbells and it is a really fun class that has made me love Dr. Julien and who he is. I've heard he's really hard in his other classes though and that he makes you buy so many books! You should take handbells and get to know him if you have to take him for something else.
