Comment:
She is vague and bad at explaining concepts. Her quizzes are extremely hard and you need to listen to her hard-to-understand, fast paced lectures to get what's on the quiz. If you want to pass this course with a good mark, you MUST do the labs and take the best notes that you can. PRINT THEM OUT BEFORE CLASS. Even then it is VERY difficult. AVOID

Mahak is super nice but her quizzes and labs are super hard. She is a very good teacher and gives clear explanations.

She knows what she's talking about, that's for sure. But when it comes to explaining, it's not very clear sometimes. She goes through one chapter slowly but goes through more important concepts fast. Make sure you do the labs, and not the night before the exam! They're very helpful and contain questions that are on the final.

Do not take this prof. Very old school! She expects you to take notes very quickly (which I don't mind), but the topic itself needs more in depth discussion rather than just simply writing it on the board. Enjoyed Econ 111 with a different prof, therefore I was excited to take 112. Not recommended at all!!!

Mahak is a solid choice as an Econ prof. She tries to make the lectures interesting, but it is Econ... its incredibly boring. She has note tremplates pre made that are helpful, but sometimes she can be hard to follow. If you do have difficulty understanding something though, she is always happy to answer questions.

We're only 2.5 months into the semester, so my opinion might change slightly at the end of the term, but so far so good. People that complain about the course being boring don't realize that this is the nature of Economics. It's boring and you have to read a lot on your own. The sheer amount of material and concepts demands a lot of reading.

She's actually really nice and kind of funny but not the best teacher. Scribbles notes on the board really fast and doesn't reinforce what she teaches. However, she is very friendly when you ask for help/clarification. The class is pretty tough, to get a good grade you'll need to attend class and do a lot of practice/extra studying on your own.

She's passionate and cares about your learning but her classes are boring and hard to follow. Ended up teaching myself everything which is a lot of work considering her class notes are way different than the textbook. The last 4-5 chapters she barely covers because most of the semester are spend on the first 5

She takes her time with you during her office hours and makes sure you're prepared for tests and quizzes. She always sets her quiz and exam dates in advance so you have time to prepare, the course is difficult but I had no problem learning it from her. Her quizzes are exactly what she says they will be in class.

Extremely helpful during office hours. Lectures are oftentimes hard to follow; make sure to review your notes and go through the textbook (connect h/w is for marks so just use the E-text). Micro themes, quizzes, and midterms are pretty simple. Ask her for help if you're struggling on any chapters before you take tests

Her accent is hard to deal with, but the worse part is she spent far too long on early chapters meaning the class per chapter in the last 2 months. She relies too heavily on connect to teach the class. In the end I had to learn all the chapters myself.

Mahak was awesome, she knew what she was talking about and answered every question you gave answers in depth. When taking down her notes, you HAVE to keep your head down and write what she verbally says because if you write what she writes on the board, it won't make sense later when you review your notes

Show up and take good notes, put effort into the (no-marks) in-class assignments, and do the practice questions at the end of the textbook chapters and you're golden, she takes questions from the textbook and past quizzesmidterm for the tests. Sometimes her writing on the board can be hard to read but she is happy to explain away any confusion.

She is very enthusiastic in delivering her lecture. She can explain complicated theory clearly and interestingly. However, she is a tough marker and you should have a full understanding of the course in order to get a good mark. Office hour is very helpful, would recommend her if u are really into econ!
