Professor Gill is very clear about what the course requirements are and what's expected of you. She is also clear about what you can do to better your grades if you're willing to put the time in. She gives just the right amount of homework to keep you focused and not overwhelmed as long as you make the time for the work and stick to the schedule.

I would recommend taking this class. You do not have to be particularly good to get an A in the class. About 3-4 easy homework assignments a week. Tests and quizzes take up most of the time though. You can take tests twice to get a better score as well. You will have to get at least a 60% on the final to pass the class however.

Professor Gill was WONDERFUL! I have never understood math, but she explained it in a way that I could do well in the course. She was so helpful, if you had a questions you could email her and she would respond almost immediately. She is a wonderful teacher, and if you get the change to sign up for her class, do it!

I agree with the other posting that she shows her frustrations. She really does help you understand what's going on, you just have to let her know what you're not getting. This class was hard, but she made it easier.

Guys, this is a great teacher and generous person! Even if you do not specialize in mathematics, but simply take mathematics as a major requirement, be her class will be interesting to you, and you will pass all the tests/exams successfully. You will have a chance. She is intelligent,understanding kind and responsive person. I recommend her class.

I took this class online and liked the way the professor interacts with you. She is very interested on her students and will try to seem hard at first, but she will help you if you show her interest by doing the homework and participating in the class meetings (online). Not an easy course online, but I recommend taking her if you want to learn

With every professor rating, I want people to be open minded and take my comments with a pinch of salt. I want to help people understand the character and persona of Professor Marcia Gill. Simply stated, she shouldn't be teaching. She actually has demonstrated, on numerous occasions, a disdain for people trying to learn!

Good course, learned quite a bit. Kind of that so challenging it's fun type of class. Software was difficult to navigate like some say, but the freedom to log in whenever I wanted was good for me. I'm selling my textbook for cheaper than if you bought it used at the bookstore. IM docjrrob on yahoo if interested.

Worst "teacher" ever...so incompetent. She writes exams (crazy impossible ones with unreal time limits) and nags people about not doing work EARLY. That's literally all she does. You will have to teach yourself EVERYTHING and she will not help you. Needs to be taken off the payroll, so that they can hire a real prof.

although she is as sweet as pie, she wasnt a good teacher. i missed two test because i had to leave town and she let me make them up. she didnt seem confident in what she was teaching. the class corrected her most of the time.

Online course 104. To begin with she was not familiar with how ThomsonNow worked. It is confusing itself. I lot of her students had trouble with giving the answers that ThomsonNow was looking for. She wouldn't understand our troubles, students would answers to what others had trouble with. She never answered favorably to the emails I sent her. She

This class should be 5 credits for the amount of work she requires. I spent more time teaching myself statistics because she confused me daily. When I asked for help she told me to go look at the software. I received a 96% in this class, so I'm not just some bitter student that got a bad grade. Gill is just truly a horrible stats teacher.

Relies too much on software. Not clear that she has a good understanding of the material herself. Don't take this class (statistics) with her unless you either understand it already or learn very well from software. The software, by the way, does not work on a MAC and is REQUIRED!

She is absolutely wonderful if you need to take an algebra class, from what i heard she is not a good stats teacher, but she shines in Math 116 & algebra, i highly reccomend her, she is helpful, clear, and doesnt work you too hard the hw is extra credit! 5 assignments worth 20 pts, and the quizes and exams are not difficult if you pay attention.
