dr. griffin is one of my favorite teachers ever. he has a fantastic sense of humor, and i learn something new every time i come to class. the assignments are challenging, but it encourages you to keep up with the course material. his mind and dialogue is refreshing to say the least. plus, he's sexy.

For those who have taken Dr. Griffin, we know that he is one of the best professors at CNU. To those who are considering taking him, you should and for those of you who think someone could do it better, you're wrong. Fair tests, fair grading, asks for effort and respect because he returns it. The man is a genius.

5 tests over the course of the semester and all but one had all questions and answers posted or could be found in his archives for you to study. Curriculum is changing for next semester so be aware of that... but he makes things easy for you. This intro class is much easier than some of the other intro classes I have taken.

Dr. Griffin is AMAZING! There's a lot of material in the course, and the tests are difficult, but Dr. Griffin is really helpful and offers alot of extra credit. Very funny and has lots of field experience to talk about. Definitely makes the effort to know his students and works really hard to help them out.

Dr. Griffin loves to teach and it shows in his enthusiasm in the subject material. He grew up in a "ooga-booga" tribe. He is funny, intellectual and very helpful and very approachable. Great guy.

Overall it's a lot of reading, but you do it gradually so it's not so bad. Tests and exams are usually off the powerpoints (on his website) with some emphasis on the readings. And he gives you most of the questions on the final on his website. He's very helpful and I recommend taking him for 203!

dr. g is the best. he does expect a lot out of his students, but is very flexible if he sees that the work load is piling up. goes out of his way to help out students and trys to make learning more than just a lecture. pretty funny. not in his office much, but hes willing to make time to meet you somewhere else. super great guy.

Dr. Griffin is entertaining, and he records his lectures and then puts them on his website- he uses his website alot and keeps it up to date with class news, forums, etc. Good class but challenging... Weird projects to get you thinking (i.e, squirrel hunting with rubberbands)... worth taking. Sometimes puts students on the spot.

I love this class and would take it again in a heartbeat. The use of humour in his class will keep you awake. He helps personify the data by using students to explain things. If you don't like being placed in sometimes awkward hypothetical situations or having your name used a lot I wouldn't recommend having him as a professor.

Dr. Griffin is the best TAKE HIM IF YOU CAN! He keeps his lectures interesting and shows a lot of videos that are taboo. The midterm was given to us before the actual test with answers so all we had to do was study that. There is a few activities that we do but you can pretty much wait too the last minute to do them and still get an A.

he sets a very uncomfortable environment for participation, he is very cocky and puts down students who try to answer but are wrong. He makes jokes out of them... he likes to make students laugh, but I believe that he should not do it the expense of other students. He uses huge words when smaller ones will do, just to sound smart...

Awesome teacher... you can actually tell he enjoys teaching and knows first hand what he's talking about since he has done his own fieldwork. The class is easy if you put time and effort towards the readings. The tests are pretty easy if you study the study guides he gives you... def. take his class... you won't regret it
