Oh man! where can I start? Margot is a tough teacher for her grading, mostly on her tests. I recommend studying 4 weeks in advance. Anyways overall, come to class regularly because she does not post powerpoints, just fill out sheets that you NEED to bring to class. If you do those 2 things like coming to class and write notes. You'll be fine.

Very tough grader, her tests are very hard too and you will find yourself in a situation on the test where you will say, when did we learn this? When I saw her MC on the test, I died right there. Pass on her if you can.

most of the time i ended up zoning out in her class but long as you study really hard it is possible to get B or if lucky A. BIO273 tests are tough in general but exam is pretty straight forward. Make sure to memorize everything for the exam! Also, take DNA units very seriously!!!

Margot is a pretty good teacher and I generally don't like teachers. She wasn't one of those teachers with who you can talk about your weekend over a glass of mimosa but I feel like I gained a lot of new knowledge (that actually makes sense) by taking her course. Definitely a strict marker, just put your answers inside boxes and you should be fine.

Tough class but honestly still one of the best I've taken. I LOVED sitting in her lectures. Margot explains things in a way that makes you understand using diagrams and thorough explanations BUT she tests you on minor details so pay attention!!

Margot by far is one of the best teachers in the faculty. She might be intimidating but doing well under her in the lab & a lecture really gets you ready for a future in the Biotech field. Try to be on her good side as she makes the shots on who is recommended for co-op.

Study everything, doesn't matter how small. Big concepts are always on the final exam, be prepared to draw diagrams for everything (even when not covered for class). Writing everything and ANYTHING on a topic with proper punctuation and conversion units are a must for full marks on a test. DO NOT SKIP CLASS OR LOFT AROUND or you will not pass.

she expect you to know everything word for word from her lectures. . He expect everyone to be perfect and expect you to be a PhD student in first semester of collage. Hard marker and doesn't help with anything at all.

Margot expects you to write down every diagram and word that she does, in my experience this is very tedious and is a poor method compared to having prepared slides to illustrate. Her multiple choice was also very tricky in a way that did not challenge you but purposely tried to confuse you. The average on first test 58%. Would not recommend.

She is very strict. Her classes are very clear, but she expects you to know everything she explained and to write it exactly as she said in class. If you need help, she helps you as long as you show her interest in learning and get high marks, not only pass. If you want easy marks, don't choose her. Tough course.
