Dr. Kermis was very nice and was an outstanding professor. I would recommend her to everyone. There were a decent amount of writing assignments but none of them were hard. I enjoyed the class a lot.

Kermis was a great professor. Her FYS class opened the room for interesting discussions. The required readings were very enjoyable surrounding the topic "Becoming Ourselves." I met with her during office hours, and she made the class comfortable, was a great mentor, and believed in me as a one of her students.

Most aggravating class I've ever taken. She's a nice lady but you don't learn anything about adol. psych. The tests are take home; however she has different answers than the book does so its impossible to actually get the answer right. The case study seems easy until she grades it. You end up with a decent grade but I wouldn't take her again.

suchhh a nice lady! honestly one of my favorite profs here. loves hearing about her studenst life experiences with a topic, and she is a stats lover as well. midterm take home test questions are word for word from the book and allows extra credit. anyone could get an A. really cares about getting to know her students. would definatly recommend her.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Kermis. She is so understanding and class discussion is interesting. Tests are extremely easy because they are take home and are literally straight from the book. Allows extra credit. Would have to be a complete idiot to not get an A.

class is all lecture and all she does is give statistics of things, which arent on the tests. pointless to go to class. she is very nice but disorganized. take home tests were extremely hard. sometimes if you put down answers that you found right in the book she would still mark it wrong. Not a bad class if you like the material.

She is a really nice person but classes can be rather boring. Alot of lecturing and sometimes hard to write everything she says down. She does know her stuff though and is very willing to help her students. Tests were hard, but they were take home so they just took time.

Ok, I heard she was going to be awesome, but she kind of wasn't. Don't get me wrong, a GREAT person, but lectures are boring, barely cover the basic material and are almost all statistics, which she says you dont need to memorize, but then they show up on the test! Can't find material for tests anywhere, basically have to kiss up for an A. dont ta

All tests were take home but they were freakin impossible. There is the info in the book, the notes we take during lectures, and then the test info and they have no overlap. Like this class is good but kind of all over the place. Still, she curves and gives mad extra credit so an A is given. Kind of recommended

I enjoyed class discussions and like how Dr. Kermis seems to have a genuine interest in the personalities of her students. There were only 3 grades, so make sure to spend a lot of time on the take-home tests and extra credit outlines. She gives a big curve though so don't worry.

She is so incredibly easy.If you ask her, you can take all of your exams as take-homes. Just ask. If openbook, they're tough, but she curves in the end. Also, she never reads your essays just checks if they're long enough and who wrote it. If you participate once in a while in class and she knows your name, you're set! Trust me, easy A!

Great teacher for Adol. Psych. Made interresting points and included student discussions into the course material. Had no problem letting a class discussion last for most of the class and let every leave because it was a good one. Test were done in groups, but still impossible b/c ever answer sounded good. Really fun though

A Lecture based course that I found interesting. Liked how she included class members in discussion and had a sense of our personalities and experiences when she discussed things. Obviously takes time to get to know students. Fair grader, great courseload, I enjoy her classes very much.

I think she's great. Very straightforward, and she offers a lot of interesting facts in lecture. The tests were open notes, and she made a real effort to foster class discussion. She's also helpful as an advisor.

I love Dr. Kermis. Her class was a breeze. the midterm was take home and we had 1 month to complete it. Other than that we only had two other papers to do and a final exam (which she gave us the essay questions a month before the exam-to do at home).
