Grigoras can be hard to understand at times, which makes it hard to focus in her class. All of her tests are essays. She gives you 6-8 q's ahead of time and picks 3 the day of. She is really passionate about the subject and lectures off of PPT slides. You can get away without the book, but I found it very helpful when preparing for the essays.

Super boring lectures. Impossible to stay focused cuz she talks too much. Lectures the entire time and it's impossible to follow. Easy class though and she knows a lot. Very educated just super boring to listen to.

Arguably one of the best professors on campus. I've never had an interest in history until this class. She's so passionate about the subject, which makes class actually interesting. Minimal homework assignments. All test questions are given beforehand, and if you read the PowerPoints and book, you're basically guaranteed an A.

I had professor Grigoras for HIS 2100 as well and she taught it the same. She lectures the whole time and tries to get the class involved but no one really says anything. Her tests are all essays but she gives them before hand and then picks the ones she wants you to actually write on. She is a good professor and I would take her again

She is a pretty easy teacher. She rambles all class period off of one P.P. slide.. that's kind of annoying- she also is Romanian and sometimes very hard to understand. She never uses the book, just borrow it from a friend. Her 1st test is hard, after that- just essays and she gives Q's and A's- EASY. Final is 2 essays.

Professor Grigoras has great understanding for the needs of all the students rather than focusing on a particular group. Her lectures are full of interesting historical facts. She also encourages debates in class.

Although she was difficult to understand at first (Romanian accent), she was an amazing teacher who really knew her stuff about history. The class was not boring in the least. We were all kept interested. We even watched Gladiator one time in class, but she made sure to relate it to the chapter we were studying. Great teacher to choose!

Knows her stuff. Very helpful to students in general and likes to teach. First history class she held entire time, but second she has been letting out early. All lecture, very very easy hw, and multiple choice on tests can be specific, but she outweighs with essays and gives the questions early. Very nice lady and good teacher.

This was the first year NU has required History so we were the guinea pigs. Each class is full of lectures and she goes the whole time. Hard to understand (accent). Homework, however, is very easy and she gives you the essay questions on the test the class before, so everyone can easily get a B or better on every test.
