...totally an easy marker. I don't know what all these other people are even talking about... She's so open to new ideas that as long as you know how to make an argument you are fine! Her lectures CAN be a little boring, but I like how she actually posts lecture slides online, unlike every single other English teacher ever. Quite helpful :)

Amazing Professor! Very approachable, and very fair. She may be a hard marker, but you will see improvements as assignments go on. I would highly reccomend taking a course with her. She is extremly funny to! haha.

I have taken 3 courses with Prof. Micros and am signed up for 2 more. She is very open to new insights in the material and does not expect you to simply recall what she has said. If you have questions she is approachable and happy to help. Also her late policy is fair (3% per day). Assignments are turned back with helpful commments.

She wasn't a horrible prof or anything as some people seem to thing... pretty sure shes close to retirement and may be a little senile to still be teaching. All in all, engaging prof, knows when to sit back and let the students have thier discussions. This course is very presentation oriented. She is very helpful and approachable. Would reccomend.

She's a flake. Most boring lectures I've ever attended. In my experience with her she's been entirely unhelphful. I had expected this course to be one of my best this semester and her boring/uninformative style has ruined it for me. I will never take one of her classes again.

A regular bore! All she does is summarize plots, so when she asks for things on her exams, it's impossible because there is nothing to base our responses off! She rambles all class almost monotonously, impossible to stay awake! Assigns way too much reading and skips through a 200 page novel in 1.5 hours. What the hell's the point? Not engaging.

When I was initially enrolled in ENGL3230, I was under the impression that this course would be straightforward. Professor Marianne Micros' lectures were unclear and monotonous. It is true that group work was prevalent in the course. Overall, I do not think I learned much from this class.

she's AMAZING. Eloquent without being pretentious... she got our entire class talking about the material and forming opinions we didn't know we had. Yeah, she's a hard marker, but you'll learn a lot. in conclusion: micros = awesome.
