She treats her class like 5th graders. Although I did learn some about psychology, most of the learning is on powerpoints which she just goes over but can't elaborate on them. Hardly ever use the textbook, shouldn't have even bought it. An easy class for sure, if you don't mind getting bored.

She treats the class like a bunch of 5th graders. The class is cake. Tests are fairly easy. Just be ready to sit through a lot of boring, repetitive, and scatterbrained lectures.

Well, I have learned a few things about developmental theories, but overall it was pretty wishy washy. My biggest piece of advice: don't bother buying the textbook. I agree that Dr. Downing is pretty scatter-brained, probably should look into retiring soon. But she is very sweet.

Terrible!! She is soooo repetative! I've heard all her stories over and over again! She is too absent minded to still be teaching!! If it weren't a required class I'd stay DON'T TAKE IT! The class was pretty easy but sitting through her talking was terrible! She also taught Arkansas History for elementary....and take it in the summer!!! It is only two weeks...it's BAD...but only two weeks!!
