Comment:

Marie-Christine was a friendly professor, always willing to assist students when they needed it. She gives good feedback for essays, and she really expects you to obey the criteria given on assignments. However, her lectures weren't exciting, and she would ramble on while putting up hundreds of slides. The readings, on the other hand, were great!

Comment:

Madame Pioffet is one of the most inspiring professors that i've had at York. Her lectures are very informative and thorough. Also, the reading materials that may strike as difficult are gone over in a detailed fashion during the lectures so make sure to come to lectures and benefit as much as possible from this walking encyclopedia of French lit!

Pioffet is a very boring professor. Lectures consist of simply reading from powerpoints that are on average 150 slides with text only. The books for the class are pretty interesting but the way she teaches them are not. Marking is alright too (not easy and not hard)

She is SO boring. If you don't like French literature, she will not make it any more fun for you, in fact, she'll probably make you hate it more. She uses way too much powerpoint and it makes the topics even more boring. She's a fairly easy marker, so that's a bonus at least.

Very intelligent person...she's willing to help you out, but she is sometimes very cold and is not compassionate at times...i must agree that she does play favourites :( be prepared to write quickly though, cause she lectures so fast, you won't know what hit you

I missed the second class of the year. At the end of the term, when i was reviewing my notes, i asked her about this concept i missed. She then proceded to deride me for missing ONE class 12 WEEKS EARLIER. At least she has a good memory
